"I'm sorry Jack," I said, "I know it's hard for the visually impaired, but this ain't an able bodied crew; no matter what ye may believe." He glared at me, and I sent him a dazzling smile.
"Yes," Will stated, furthering my claim. "This is your able bodied crew?" Jack glared at us. "All of these men are good hands at the mast and crazy to boot," Gibbs declared.
"Crazy doesn't cover half of it," I said, rolling my eyes.
"You sailor!" Jack barked at an old man with a colorful parrot on his shoulder. I mean, seriously, A parrot? I thought that those were just silly stories! "Cotton, sir" Gibbs supplied. "Cotton! Do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders in the face of near certain death?" Cotton blinked. "Well," I remarked drily, "that was rather anticlimactic, don't you think?"
"He's a mute, sir," Gibbs stated. "Trained the parrot to speak for him, no one yet knows how." Cotton opened his mouth so that we could see his stump of a tongue. I grimaced. Jack, being his normal, dramatic self, gagged and stuck out his tongue.
"And what do we get in exchange?" An obviously feminine voice asked. Jack frowned, and sashayed over to the owner of the voice. Her floppy hat hid her face and she was dressed in a tattered pair of pants and a stained white shirt. Jack slid the hat off her head, and her lark brown hair came tumbling out. Her skin was an olive tone. "Anamaria," Jack greeted. She then did something completely unexpected; she slapped him as hard as she could. His head snapped sideways and he had a slightly baffled look on his face.
"Let me guess," Will said. "You didn't deserve that either?" What? More girls had slapped him?! I wish that I had seen that. I was snapped back to reality by Jack shaking his head. "You stole my boat!" Jack lifted his pointer finger to stop her. "Borrowed; borrowed with all intention of bringing it back."
"But you didn't!" Anamaria shouted, and slapped him again. We were going to be great friends.
"You'll get another one!" Jack suddenly shouted.
"A better one," Will added.
Just to throw Jack off, I decided to throw another deal into the mix. "That one!" I shouted, pointing to the Interceptor. Jack glared at me, and then, somewhat halfheartedly said "Aye, what say you?" An aria considered for a moment and then shouted, "Aye!" The resounding chorus of 'ayes' from the crew was deafening.
"Wait!" I cried. Everyone stopped running. I slapped Jack as hard as I could and he yelped in pain. "I couldn't resist," I said, with mock sadness. "I had to do it." I threw a wink over my shoulder to the shell shocked Jack, and sashayed up the gangplank, and onto the deck of the Interceptor.Vote! Comment! Add to your library! It's much appreciated. 💟 Izzle
