Chapter Four.

Joe's POV...

I went outside to the car to grab mine and Rick's belongings from the car taking them inside, i left Ricks by the stairs with the intention of taking it to his room when there not in the room.

I took my own luggage to my room to start unpacking. As i was pulling my clothes out i saw the gift i brought for Issac sitting there so i picked it up putting it into my back pocket, once i finished unpacking i made my way to Issacs room, i knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

"Come in" i heard him say, so i opened the door and saw Issac laying on the bed with his eyes closed, maybe i should come back later? Thinking otherwise i walked in closing the door behind me then walked to his bed looking down at him sprawled out on his back.

"Issac?" I asked softly, his eyes opened and out eyes locked. He sat up pulling himself so he was sitting up against the head board.

"Whats up?" He asked pointing next to him on the bed for me to sit which i did turning so we were face to face.

"What did Oscar want?" I started remembering how upset he was on the phone this morning.

"He wanted to make a phone call but i told him no, i didn't want to risk him calling Rick or Jason" he explained, who the hell would he want to call if it wasnt either of them, but that couldn't have been what upset him.

"But what did he say that had you so upset" he looked off to the side thinking and his mood visibly saddened.

"What is it? What did he say?" I asked conserned.

"Lucy" Oh, Issacs ex-wife, the one that cheated on him then raped and tortured Jason with Oscar.

"I'm sorry i brought it up, i never should have asked, how are you doing since she died?" She was his wife after all it must be killing him inside.

"I'm good, really i am, i mean yeah i was devistated when i found out what she did but i started growing out of love for her years before so it didn't hurt as much as it would have if i felt the same for her when we met"

"Are you gonna try and meet someone new?" It might take him some time but he will, he didnt even think about it though when he replied.

"Nope after everything that happened with Lucy i dont think i could ever find someone who loves me for me and wouldn't cheat on me" he said sadly bringing his legs up to his chest wrapping hisarms around them laying his chin on his knees.

I needed to comfort him some how even though it's not something i do, but he is my partner so i stood up and moved to the head of the bed and sat down next to him and put my arm around his shoulders pulling him to me so my his head was against my chest, he straightened his legs down the bed and turned over so he was laying on me and wrapped his arms around me hugging me.

"Why did she have to do that, i though she loved me?" He whispered I tightened my hold on him not saying a word, we layed there holding each other until Issac fell asleep.

I thought about leaving and letting Issac sleep but thought better of it seeing as he is laying on me i might wake him up if i moved so i layed there watching him sleep until i started getting tired, soon enough i was out like a light.

Crash!

I was woken to a banging sound in the direction of the kitchen, Issac sat up straight at the sound and looked at me, we seemed to think the same thing so we both go up grabbing our guns and left the room.

"Go up stairs and check on Rick and Jason" Issac whispered, i nodded slowly walking to and up the stairs to the bedroom, i didnt bother knocking i just opened the door and went in, i closed the door behind me then turned on the light, Jason and Rick were asleep but woke up at the light.
