Chapter 12

"Do you want to talk about it?" Mother asked. I shook my head.

"It's nothing I'll be fine." I assured her.

"Alright but if it bothers you please tell me what it was about."

"I will I promise." I replied with a nod.

"Alright now go back to bed; you will be able to get up shortly goodnight."

"Okay goodnight." I replied and uneasily headed back up the stairs. When I got back upstairs I lay down in my bed too scared to fall asleep again but eventually exhaustion took over and I fell asleep without having any frightening dreams.

When I got downstairs Mother had already set the table with rice that contained egg through it.

"Mother didn't you need my help?" I asked.

"No I figured that I should do the cooking for breakfast after all you didn't have a very reasonable sleep last night." Mother replied with a smile.

"O-Okay." I said with a nod and sat down at the table. Mother joined me in no time.

"Thank you for this meal." We said in unison and began to eat, snapping our chopsticks apart and digging in.

When we were finished I excused myself from the table and got into the shower, spring would be arriving soon and it had begun to warm up. I put on a white long sleeved dress which had a light pink ribbon across the top of the dress, the bottom of the dress and around the waist; I decided to put my hair in two pigtails like I usually did with light pink ribbons and then headed back downstairs.

"I'm going to see Kai now!" I called to my mother as I slipped on black T-bar shoes and opened up the door heading outside.

"Alright! I will come and visit Kai soon." Mum called after me, I put on my bag I had left by the front door and then headed towards the hospital I saw Yuna and Haruki walking towards my house Haruki looked down at me and sighed.

"Lemme guess, you're gonna go see sleeping beauty?" Haruki asked stubbornly.

"Um... yes I am going to see Kai." I replied.

"Told ya." Yuna stated as she flicked Haruki in the nose.

"HEY!" Haruki exclaimed.

"Where are your manners?" Yuna asked with a sigh. Yuna was wearing a denim skirt with white leggings, a white long sleeved top and a black vest she also wore combat boots and wore her hair out whilst Haruki was wearing a red hoodie and baggy denim jeans, it seemed to be what a lot of sixteen year old boys wore with or without the hoodie they still chose to wear baggy jeans.

I was about to say something but then I paused and remembered how sad Haruki must be inside, so I smiled at him.

"Would you like to come with me Haruki san?" I asked.

"Did you just call him Haruki san? Since when did you use formalities with him?" Yuna asked looking shocked and pointing at Haruki.

"Nah that joker might give me nightmares." Haruki replied with a grin deciding to ignore Yuna.

"Oh... okay." I replied as I looked down and then back up again quickly. "I'll um... be going then." I added quietly as I headed down the footpath, Haruki looked shocked when I walked off as if he had done something wrong and I could hear Yuna yelling at him.

How can I help Haruki when he doesn't wanna talk to me? I thought to myself with a sigh but continued to walk and soon reached the hospital.
