*This is from a broken heart and also appeared in "Quotes for anything 2" ? I think that's what it's called I don't know by spidersgirl_15. This short story was written by me. I know it sucks, pardon the typos..

The candle was all that was left. She kept it close, for it was the only light in the world. The cold air blew against her as she tried to keep it safe. Without it she would die in the cold, dark, lonely world. No matter how loud the screams grew, and how scared she was, she tried protecting her little piece of hope. She curled up shielding it from the wind with her body. The storm raged as tears fell from her eyes and down her cheek. She shivered from fear and sorrow. This was the world. Nothing but darkness. She needed to guard the light. She looked at the small delicate flame dancing on the candle. If the flame went out all hope would be gone and she would die. The storm howled and the screams filled her head. She went mad for the hell she lived in drive her to it. There's was only one thing She could do to end this nightmare. She blew out the candle.
