Taking in a deep breath, I walked into the reception. “Hi, I’m Adrianna Campbell. I’m new here? And I was supposed to come pick up my time table and locker keys?” I asked the receptionist. She smiled, “Oh, hello there, it’s right here! Let me get someone to help you around for the day!”
“Serena!” The receptionist called to a girl. “Yes Miss?” She replied. “I want you to show Adrianna here around, you guys have the English, History and Math together.” The receptionist smiled. “Umm okay, no problem” She called.
“Hii, I’m Serena!”
I smiled, “I’m Adrianna, you can call me Aide"
“You’re very pretty, take care of the boys, they can be intimidating, don’t let them get to you!”
“Thank you. Hmm, point noted. Thanks!” I laughed.
“Oh and you can come sit with me and my friends for lunch, probably hang with us alright?” She asked
“Yeah okay, sure.”
Serena was simply gorgeous! She had long, blonde, wavy hair and an infectious smile. She was tall and had deep blue eyes, and her fashion sense was great, I could tell. We talked about random things and reached to class.
It was a beautiful school, the ground was massive, all the buildings looked modern and appealing. And there was no sign of Aaron yet. Hopefully I wouldn’t barge into him anywhere. I was dreading that. Or hopefully he would just ignore me!
I was glad I didn’t have to sit all alone on my first day like some lone looser!
The lessons passed in a blur, more intense than at my old school, but they were good! I did meet some new people, all mostly very friendly!
I hadn’t yet come across Aaron.
His name had initially made my blood boil. But you can’t hate someone forever can you. Now it was just a tinge of sadness when I thought about him. I just felt betrayed and alone – Nothing else.
One thing I had promised myself was I was not going to talk to him, or act like I knew him or anything. His charm was probably very famous now, judging from when he was young. I wasn’t going to fall for him.
But another part of me wondered - is he even going to acknowledge me? Or ignore me like always? What if he treats me like plague? What if he makes it clear he hates me? I mentally pinched myself out of thinking all that. “Who bloody cares what Aaron thinks, in fact who even cares if he exists?!” I told myself.
Smiling I met Serena to go to the lunch room.
As we entered the lunch room everyone stopped to look at me as I passed. “Don’t worry, it’s just not too many new students usually transfer here. And you can’t forget the fact that you’re totally gorgeous.”
