Just seconds after I blurted it out, JC screamed and Gabe stared at me open mouthed. And true to form, I burst into tears for the seccond time in one day.

'Oh holy shit, what did you just say?' JC gasped. Gabe said nothing, all he did was wrap me tight into his arms. And even though so much had happened that day, the one thing I remember the most is Gabe's arms tight around me.

I fell asleep on Gabe's couch, that night. JC was asleep right beside me, her feet close to kicking me in the face. My phone had died sometime after we went into Gabe's house yesterday. Right now it was laying on the coffee table. I didn't want to think about what Lukemia meant. For me. For Cassidey. For my whole family. JC squirmed on the couch and kicked my shoulder.

'Ow.' I moaned.

'Shit. Sorry.' JC said as she sat up to look at me.

'Morning girls!' Gabe's mother, Sara Douglas, says as she walks from the stairs to the kitchen in two secconds flat.

'Morning.' JC and I monotone.

'Where's Gabe?' I ask.

'Still asleep.' Ms. Douglas asks.

'Your mom called, honey. Do you want me to take you to the hospital after breakfest? Or when you are ready?' Ms. Douglas asked, while she looked at me kindly with her eyes. I nodded, I didn't want to know what hospital. I've hated hospitals since I was a little girl.

JC and I talked to Ms.Douglas, and later Kim, until Gabe woke up. Breakfest - pancakes and bacon and sausage - was already done by the time he came down.

'You could have waited to start with me.' Gabe grumbled and he made himself a cup of coffee.

'And you could have come down earlier.' JC quiped.

'Shut up, Josefina Catia Tianjin.' Gabe responded.

'Dont. Ever. Say. My. Full. Name. Again. Gabriel.' JC hissed, as she gave Gabe a glare.

'Both of you, calm down.' Ms. Douglas said.

'He started it.' JC muttered and Kim shook her head.

'You two are not 3, stop acting it.' I said, while I tried not to giggle. I failed.

'I'll get you back for that one.' Gabe said as he took a piece of bacon off of my plate.

'Dude. No.' I said.

'There is plenty of food right there on the counter.' Ms.Douglas said as she swatted Gabe's hand away from my plate.

'Haha.' Kim said, she hadn't said anything since Gabe came down.

'You two are nutz.' I said as Gabe tried to take another piece of my bacon.

'We are going to the hospital later, with Chris. To visit Cass.' JC said in a way that made it obvious that this was not up for debate.

Hours later, we had finally found Cass's floor and her room. It was on Purple Tower, TC wing (Teen Cancer), room 66 71. It was very confusing and hard to find. JC was squeezing my hand, and Gabe had his arm slung over my shoulders. Ms.Douglas was walking ahead of us while Kim followed her. The door was shut, which is why Ms. Douglas and Kim stoof at the door. I know they didn't want to impose on something. I didnt want to impose and this was my family. I took in a deep breath and I pushed the door open. Gabe still had his arm over my shoulders, and JC was still right next to me. I wasnt alone, but I was scared.
