Standing at the doorway was my parents and two doctors that I recongized as Cass's doctors.

The first thing I noticed were the frazzled looks on my mom and dad's faces, and the serious looks on both doctors faces.

Even before I knew what they were going to tell us, I could tell that they didn't bare good news.

Once the doctors syarted talking, I didn't really understand what they were saying.

But my mom was crying and thats when I really knew something was wrong. Really wrong.

'Your best chance would be a bone marrow transplant.' I heard one of the doctors say clearly.

A what?

Why would she need a bone marrow transplant?

Was the chemo not working?

I had defenitly missed something important when I tuned out the confusing doctor talk.

Before I knew it, and without my awnsers that I never asked being awnsered, the doctors left.

'Am I the only one that is totally confused?' Allison asked after a few moments of silence.

'No.' Cass and I responded in unison.

'I understand it.' Vanna said softly.

'Okay..?' Allison said slowly, as her gaze traveled between our parents and Vanna.

Vanna didn't look happy anymore, instead her eyes were bright with unshed tears.

Every seccond that passed made me feel even more scared.

'The doctors..they..they s-said t-that-t-' My mom started before her voice broke.

'Mom?' Allison asked, panic filling her voice.

'Honey.' My dad said as he pulled my mom close to his body.

'I guess I'll finish the story. Pretty much the doctors just told us that Cass's chemo isn't working anymore. The cancer is too strong. And her best hope is a bonemarrow transplant.' My dad started, his voice even and sad. 'Of course, there still is experimental drugs the doctors can try.' Dad quickly added.

'Whats a bone marrow transplant again?' Allison asked slowly.

'A bone marrow transplant is where Cass's bad bone marrow is replaced by healthy bone marrow stem cells.' Dad explained.

'So I just need this transplant and everything will be okay?' Cass asked, hope filling her face.

'Possibly, if you dont reject the new marrow.' My dad replied.

'So when can I have this procedure?' Cass asked.

'When the doctors find you a match.' My dad said softly.

'Isn't Chris a match?' Vanna asked, genuinely puzzled.

I remeber when Cass was diagnosed the doctors did some type of prodcedure on all of us to see if we would be able to give bone marrow to Cass if she ever needed it.

Just because we werent identical didn't mean that my bone marrow wouldn't work in Cass's body.

Right?

'She isn't a match.' My mom said softly, her voice hoarse.

'How's that possible?' Allison asked. 'I mean wouldn't she be the closest match?' Allison added.

'Well, in a normal case she would. But Chris and Cass aren't a normal case.' My dad explained.

'This doesnt make any sense, dad. What do you mean we arent a normal case? What is a normal case?' Cass asked from her hospital bed.

She had every right to be comfused and to want awnsers.

Heck, I was confused.

And frusterated.

'We have to tell them.' My mom told my dad, as she looked up at him with teary eyes.

'Yeah.' My dad said with a sigh. 'Cassidey, Christine; the two of you aren't actually twins. You two aren't related at all. Chris, you are adopted.'

Guys please dont kill me. This has been planned sonce the beginning, thanks to the help from one of my best friends who suggested the idea.
