Chapter Nine

"Shortcake, I think we both know that this isn't fake anymore..." he said smirking at me and pulling me closer to him. That was the last thing I expected him to say, but I'm not complaining.

"Well what is it then?" I said giggling. Ugh I'm such a nerd.

"Shortcake, will you be my girlfriend?"

I don't know what to say...

Chapter Nine

I feel my heart beating out of my chest...Dylan is waiting for answer and every second I don't give him an answer, I see his smile get smaller and smaller by each second passing.

"I...I can't get hurt again, it happened to me once when I let my guard down, but I can't do it again, not with you."

His smile completely vanished, but instead of leaving he pulled me in close for a hug. I felt the tears rolling down my face quickly.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

After he calmed me down, I began to tell him what happened.

"So, when I was dating Tyler, it was our anniversary, so Lindsay was helping me plan a surprise for him while he was hanging out my house. And I forgot my phone, so I ran back to my house, and when I ran up to my room...I-I caught him having sex with my cousin, Valerie..." I felt pathetic.

"I'm, im so sorry Riley...but at least you found out about that asshole."

"I really wanna be your girlfriend for real this time, I really do....but I don't think I can go through the same pain again..."

"Riley, I would never hurt you...especially someone as amazing as you."

"Well you do have a fuckboy exterior," I said giggling.

"Gimme a chance shortcake," he pleaded

"You don't need to even to say yes to being my girlfriend, just go on one date with me."

He was making puppy dog eyes at me.

"One date Anderson."

He stood up and yelled, "IM GOING ON A DATE WITH SHORTCAKE!"

"You're such a dumbass," I said giggling.

"Be patient, and don't throw a big ass rock  and break my window again," I said laughing.

"Okay, sorry babe, please hurry the fuck up."

"I'm coming!"

I get on his motorcycle and we head to school.

Just as he parks, we walk into school, and we see Michael, Aidan, and Phoebe glaring at us. Aidan walks up to us.

"Hey can I talk to you in private please?"

"Sure."

He pulls me far away from Dylan, behind the auditorium.

"Look, Riley I don't think you should be dating him."

"Well the last time I checked, Dylan was the one that saved me from Tyler at his party, not you."

Aidan grabs my arm forcefully and smashes me up against the building wall.

"Look, if you date Dylan, bad things are going to happen to you, and I can't stop everything from hurting you."

"Let me go!"

"Hey Aidan, what the fuck do you think you're doing to my girlfriend?!?!"

Dylan takes Aidan's hands off of me and we storm off.

Dylan's pov

Aidan took Riley somewhere. I was about to follow them, but I heard Phoebe's voice.

"Hey Dyl, can I talk to you?"

"Sure, what the fuck do you want?"

"I don't think you should be with that nerd anymore."

"You know, I can do whatever I want." I was getting a little bit pissed off.

"I know things about Riley, that would change what you think of her, and I think as one of your past girlfriends and as a friend, I should tell you."

"Look, you were never my girlfriend, and you never will...just stay away from me and Riley," I honestly didn't care about the bullshit she wanted to tell me.

She suddenly pulled me in and whispered in my ear.

"Riley lost her virginity to Michael."

She was lying...she had to be lying, Riley would never sleep with Michael.

I walked away from Phoebe, and I heard Riley yelling. Aidan was holding her against the wall. I felt my blood begin to boil.

"Hey Aidan, what the fuck do you think you're doing to my girlfriend?!?!"

I ripped his hands off of Riley, and I stormed off with her.

"Thanks babe, he is such a douche."

"No problem, but Phoebe mentioned something to me..."

"What did she say?" Riley said nervously, but with anger in her eyes.

"She said that you lost your virginity to Michael. Did you?"

"Yeah, I did..."
