Swimming in silica, I look to the sea
Heavy is the weight that brings you to me.
From far away I can tell your colour is blue
And I hear your siren call, I hear it so true.
Under cover of a glistening blanket of granules
Just to the side of Eden, beneath the starry evening
There are waves caressing me with every breath of the wind
Telling me of your love, telling me where you've been.
Through the thick, slushy parts I start to move in and out
Plodding and planning my route so I'll make it with no doubt
Hustle and rustle me up some more grains of sand
'Cause I'm covered up to my knees, it's so hard to stand
I relinquish your yoke, great burden, heavy load
I've lost my desire to travel this long road
Lying supine under cover of sand
Is lying for eternity, my destiny planned.
One more morsel of mirage-filled glow
Before my air runs out and my vision goes
Tell me that what we had - it made you feel loved,
Then I can rest assured while under cover, lying above.
