Flower On the Steps

Flower on the steps, I see one

Dancer in my arms, I hold on

Tight... so tight

That I am melting in to her.

Sealed in an oyster, the pearl

Scrunched up along the sides

I sift and wait for

The ocean to float her to me.

Then I see her...

A flower in the steps

She is more lovely than the rest

I wish that life was not a test

So we could be... as one,

A flower flying West

So light and airy in the clouds

I throw up my hands in the

Air...

Now she approaches the entrance

To ever-after,

Now she lives her life-long

Dream...

She doesn't owe anyone

Any laughter,

She can do whatever

Or say what she means...

She is a flower on the steps

Of heaven.
