Chapter 22

"Where'd you go?" He asked in his sexy morning voice that could make me melt. "Umm, I heard Grayson downstairs so I just went to see if he was okay." I replied. "I'm sorry about earlier, I was just so mad at him." He said tightening his arms around me. "It's okay, i understand why you got so upset, I would've been upset too if Cam or Nash did that too." I said rubbing his bare back. I cuddled into his chest. I took a deep breath already feeling guilty for not telling him the truth. I started crying and sobbing hoping Ethan wouldn't notice but of course he did. "Baby what's wrong?" I asked in a worried tone, lifting my head up and wiping away my tears. I sat up and took deep breaths and decided to tell him. He sat up too and turned to look at him. "Ethan I love you too much to lie to you and I'm so sorry that did. The real reason reason why I was gone from bed was because Grayson came in here and picked me up. Like literally picked me up and carried me downstairs. I was half asleep and I thought it was you but when he put me down I saw who it was. He said he just wanted to talk but i got upset with him because i just wanted to come back up to you but he said he'd make it quick. But then out of nowhere he kissed me and I pushed him off quickly and then he said he loved me." I could see Ethan getting more and more angry the more I said. "He was obviously really drunk and it was just the alcohol talking. I told him I was going to act like it never happened. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you at first I didn't wanna keep that from you I'm so sorry E. I promise you I will never lie to you ever again. I just didn't tell you because I didn't want you to get mad at me or hurt Grayson." I said crying harder. Ethan said nothing, he just wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. "You're not mad at me?" I asked. "No. It's not your fault." He said stroking my hair and wiping my face. "Are you mad at Grayson?" I said, looking at his face, scanning for any signs of anger in his expressions when he said, "A little, but he was drunk. He wasn't in his right mind. If it happens again then he's gonna get it but for now I'm just gonna let go. Like you said before, I'm happy with you and I'm not gonna dwell on things. I love you too much to let things get to me and then lash out on you." He put his hand on my cheek and kissed me. (Ethan's POV). All I could think about was ripping Grayson apart for what he did to her. But when I kissed her, suddenly nothing mattered, not even what had just happened with her and Gray. I wanted her, bad. She wrapped her arms around my neck and started to pull at my hair. I put my arm around her waist and pulled her closer and than wrapped my fingers in her hair and pulled her head back to expose her neck. She moaned a little and let my lips explore her neck. She breathed harder and I smiled. I knew that was her weakness. She laughed and pushed me back down on the bed and continued kissing me. She turned my head and kissed my neck as well. I was about to let my senses take over when suddenly Zeus started barking at us. She sat up and started laughing "Zeus stoppp" she said laughing. I looked over to see the sun was starting to come up. "Can I show you something?" I asked her. She looked back at me with her big beautiful hazel eyes and smiled and nodded. I stood and she jumped onto my back. I carried her to the door leading to the top deck (the actual term for it is called a Widow's Watch). I don't ever take people up there because that was my safe place. Only one other person has been up here and it was Grayson but he never goes up there because he didn't like how high it was. I put her down and turned to face her. "Mace, I wanna show you something that really special to me. I've never shown it to anyone because it's the one of the only places I feel I'm safe and it's the one place where I don't have to worry about my problems." She looked at me with a sincere look and then kissed me and smiled up at me. "Show me" she said. I took her hand and led her up the stairs. I pushed open the doors built into the floor of the deck and helped her up. She looked at the sun coming up over the hills, you could even see the skyscrapers of the city in the distance. She walked over to the railing and just watched the sun. "I see why this place is so special to you, it's so beautiful up here." She said looking back at me. I couldn't think of anything more perfect than here and I up here in this moment. I wanted her forever, because she is my forever...
