Chapter 27

The next morning I woke up wrapped tightly in Ethan's arms, pressed firmly against his body. I could wake up to this everyday. I kissed him lightly on the chest and tried to wiggle myself from his grip. I really wanted to call Anna and Cam and Nash and tell them the news. Ethan was still dead asleep, and even me pushing against his chest to get free didn't even wake him. I gave up and decided to go back to sleep. I woke up a few hours later, Ethan still asleep as well, only this time when I kissed his chest he woke up. "Good morning pretty girl." He said in that morning voice that makes every girl melt. "Good morning handsome boy." I replied, pressing my forehead into his chest. I was still in disbelief from last night. "We really got engaged last night." I reminded myself and smiled. "We really did, I got engaged to the most amazing, strong and beautiful girl I've ever known. I got engaged to the girl of my dreams and the love of my life." He said hugging me tighter. He rolled over onto his back, releasing his grip from me. "I gotta call Anna, Nash, and Cam." I said sitting up and grabbing my phone. "Just call them right here so we can both talk." He said. I called Cam first hoping Nash would be with him. He answered the phone
C: Hello?
M: Goodmorning Cammy!
C: why are you calling me so early?
M: Cam it's 12:30
C: Oh I guess I should get up then.
M: Listen is Nash there? We have something we wanna tell you.
C: I think so lemme check.
We hear him yell "Nash! Come over hear Macy wants to tell us something."
N: hey Mace what's up?
E: As you guys know I asked you guys for permission to marry Macy.
C: You finally asked her??
N: Took you long enough!
C: CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! Have you told Anna yet?
M: No not yet. I'm not sure how she's gonna take it.
C: Yeah true. You never really know with her. Well we'll come over later and celebrate!
M: Let's not celebrate too hard Cam.
C: HA HA very funny Macy.
E: Bye guys we'll see you tonight.

I hung up. We both looked at eachother with confused looks. "You asked Cam and Nash for permission? They knew? For how long?" I asked. "Yeah I asked them a few months ago. They're the closest thing you have to brothers and Anna is never around so I figured I could ask them. I was going to ask you on our anniversary after our date but then the whole thing with Wolf happened and it just didn't feel right anymore." He said.
"Aww Ethan!" I said making a puppy dog face "I'm sorry it didn't work out how you wanted it to." I continued. "It's okay. I realized I didn't need a whole fancy date to do it, it just had to feel right." He said. "Why are you hesitating to tell Anna?" He asked. "Because you never really know how she's gonna react. She'll either be really happy for me or really upset because her boyfriend still hasn't asked her and they've been together for 6 years. I'm just afraid she'll make it about her." I explained. "You'll never know until you call her." He said, getting up and kissing me on the forehead. "I'm making breakfast what do you want?" He asked. "Hmmm chocolate chip pancakes please." I said smiling. I went downstairs and got a coffee mug out of the cabinet and grabbed a black sharpie from the drawer and wrote "Does this ring make me look engaged?" On the coffee mug, filled it with coffee and took a selfie drinking it with my ring on my finger. I showed Ethan and he laughed. "Call Anna before you post it. I'm sure she'll want to hear it from you instead of your Instagram." He said. I knew he was right. I went out to the back deck to call her. She answered
A: "Hey sis! I'm on my way to a meeting so I can only talk for a little bit.
M: I just have some news.
A: What is it?
M: Please don't freak out.
A: Macy what is it.
M: Last night Ethan asked me to marry him!
(There was a pause)
A: Wow. Who knew you'd be the one to get engaged first.
M: Are you mad?
A: No Mace. It's just upsetting. Chris still hasn't proposed and it's been six years.
M: God Anna this is exactly why I didn't wanna tell you! I knew you were gonna make this about you. For once something is about me and you turn it around and make it about you Anna. Ethan said I should talk to you, he actually thought you'd be happy for me. I knew better. I thought you'd wanna hear it from me and not from Instagram or Twitter or anyone else but me. Bye Anna see you next time you come to LA. Or maybe not even then."

I hung up. I knew this was gonna happen. I threw my phone. I was so angry at her. I heard my phone ring again. It was Anna.
M: WHAT?
A: Macy how could you think I'm not happy for you?
M: I don't know maybe because you said it's upsetting that your younger sister got engaged before you instead of saying congratulations.
A: I'm sorry Mace it just surprised me. Of course I'm happy for you. I'm on the next flight out to LA to see you. I have some news for you too.
M: What is it?
A: IM MOVING TO LA
M: what?? Finally.
A: The label finally agreed to open a second headquarters in LA and made me the executive producer. I'm moving there next week. Will you help me find a place to live when I come see you tomorrow?
M: Yeah. I'll get the guest room ready for you. See you tomorrow Anna.
A: Bye sis, Congratulations!

I hung up once again. I went inside and told Ethan what she had said. "Well I'm glad she's coming to see us tomorrow. At least she's making an effort." He said. We ate breakfast and talked. I posted my photo and got thousands of likes. Ever since Ethan posted that woman crush Wednesday of me asleep with Zeus, I've gotten tons of followers, but also tons of hate. But me being me, the hate never got to me. I even did a YouTube video with Ethan and Grayson for Dolan Twin Tuesday about reading hate comments. I had done a lot of videos with them but I never started my own channel. Ethan had tried to get me to make own but I could never think of good ideas for videos. Grayson was coming over later with his dog Bam-Bam to film a "Meet Our Dogs" video. A few hours after breakfast we heard Grayson come in with Bam-Bam. She was huge, her back was up to my waist. We filmed the video with Wolf, Zeus, Bam-Bam, and we introduced Iggy to their fans. After that we hung out on the couch for a little while when Grayson finally said, "So I asked Natalina about you." "Oh I can't wait to hear this." I said.
