Screams echoed the halls. A bright glow guided the scared men down the hall. No one was in the room the boys had entered. The window allowed cold winter air to flow inside the bedroom. A shuddering, shaking mess was seen outside the window, standing outside in the cold rain. But no one could make out who it was standing in just shorts and a hoodie. In the middle of December it wasn't safe for anyone to be standing out in the icy rain. Reiji turned to count every brother there but one was missing. "That's Kanato!" Ayato shouted. Ayato was half way out the window himself but Reiji grabbed his shoulder. "Don't go out there like that, you'll get sick too" Reiji ordered him. "Screw you, we're going out there!" Laito protested and hopped out the window himself. Ayato followed immediately after. Kanato turned his head to the sky and screamed out in what sounded like complete agony. The small vampire dropped his teddy bear and then himself onto his knees. He leaned forward crying. The child began to cry harder and slam his fists to the ground. Laito grabbed and restrained his right arm, Ayato grabbed the left. "Kanato it's us! It's us" Laito shouted above to loud rain hitting the concrete. Laito and Ayato sat on their knees in front of Kanato and clutched his shoulders. The purple haired boy in front of them let his head hang low. His body was shaking from the sobbing. "Look at us, what's wrong!?" Ayato asked frantically. "I can't stand it..." Kanato mumbled. "I can't stand it. I can't stand it! I CANT STAND IT!" Kanato got increasingly louder. He began to flail, push his brothers away, and hit the ground all over again. Laito and Ayato backed up before they got hit themselves. Reiji, Shu, and Subaru finally made it outside with their jackets and three blankets for the triplets. Subaru handed out soft blue blankets for the redheaded brothers to cover themselves. Shu tried to cover Kanato but the young vampire swatted it away. "No! No! No!" He screamed terribly loud. "Shu, restrain him, now. He's gonna get a cold" Reiji ordered while ushering Ayato, Laito, and Subaru inside. Shu threw the tan blanket onto Kanato and wrapped his arms around his waist tight. Kanato kicked, screamed, and swung his arms wildly. Shu turned to protect his own face but kept his grip on his brother tight. He carried the hysterical child inside the house. Ayato and Laito stayed huddled together on a small two-seated couch. Their faces showed fear and concern. Kanato kept pushing on Shu's arms, basically begging for his freedom. "Just let him go!" Ayato shouted desperately. He didn't want to see Kanato this way. "We can't do that! He'll run out there again or hurt himself" Reiji yelled. Ayato shrunk back next to Laito. "Subaru get some rope" Reiji ordered. Reiji moved a yellow arm chair to the center of the living room. Shu stood behind the chair and places Kanato into the seat. The eldest kept his hands down on Kanato's shoulders. Subaru came back with some rope and secured Kanato into the chair. Kanato kicked the whole time until realization of no escape or exhaustion got to him. "Y-you can't leave him like that..." Laito voice cracked. "We won't, it's just so he can talk to us without escaping" Reiji used a soothing voice seeing that his little brothers were so distressed. Everyone sat around quietly for awhile. Ayato and Laito leaned against each other in the two-seated chair. Subaru sat down on the couch with his knees pulled to his chest and the two eldest brothers stood, both having their arms crossed along their chests. Kanato, soon, lifted his head, tears brimming his eyes. Laito's heart skipped a beat seeing Kanato's face. Laito and Ayato nearly fell out of their seats trying to reach their brother. "Kanato! Tell us what happened" Laito asked. Kanato's head fell again. "I had a night terror... Or a nightmare or something...
All I know was that it felt too real. I've had them for weeks now. I-I can't get her out of my head... Cordelia...." The small vampire whispered. "She's haunting me or something, I can feel it. She wants to torture me. She makes me watch her tear you two apart each and every dream.... Sometimes she makes Reiji and Shu help her... Sometimes it's Subaru who helps..." Kanato explained in a near-silent whisper. Laito looked horrified. Anger filled Ayato. "She's not here, she's dead" Reiji reminded them. "No she's here! Somewhere, she's here! She is!" The chair lurched as Kanato tried to lung at Reiji. Reiji took a step back in surprise and mumbled an apology. In any other situation Reiji would have scolded Kanato for such an outburst, but now was not one of those moments. "Don't stress him anymore, boys" Reiji told Ayato and Laito, "we should all get back to sleep. Kanato, Ayato, Laito I think it's best if all three of you share a room, preferably not Kanato's unless he's more comfortable there." Subaru got up to free Kanato. Laito and Ayato escorted the shivering child to one of the redhead's rooms. Subaru headed to his room, leaving Shu and Reiji behind. "Something's up" Shu spoke out. "Definitely" Reiji agreed, "She could honestly be here after those three." Shu nodded. "We're not going to let that happen" Shu stated and began to walk to his own room. "Never.... It'll never happen..." Reiji whispered to himself. He stood there a few more seconds thinking things over and resting his chin on his knuckles before disappearing to his own room.
