Kanato was lying in bed with an IV stuck into him and two brothers guarding him. Shu and Laito stood around Kanato at all times. That was the plan until they could all figure out a way to rid the manor of Cordelia. "Guys, I am fine. Now let me leave!" Kanato angrily shouted at them. Kanato couldn't handle the invasion of privacy. He just wanted to nap without his brothers staring him down. Kanato groaned and slammed back down on his pillow. Just in time to cure Kanatos boredom, Reiji called everyone for yet another meeting. Shu and Laito helped Kanato out of his bed, supporting him on both sides, and teleported him and the IV bag to the living room. Reiji stood in the room holding a vial of blood. "The blood belongs to Ayato" he revealed. "Huh? Mine!? How would she get my blood!" Ayato yelled in disbelief. "I don't know how she got it" Reiji told everyone. Only Shu knew that wasn't true. He shot a look at the framed eyes of his brother. Reiji returned an angry, slightly shamed look to the eldest. Laito watched the two with furrowed brows but ignored it for more important things to discuss. "So what does that mean? Why's Ayato's blood all over the snapped rose?" The fedora wearing vampire asked. Kanato shivered visibly and whispered, "He's the next victim." Ayato looked a bit frightened and tried to mask it. "Wh-why the hell would I be next?" He asked. A loud crash of thunder and a strike of lightning brightened the sky. A dark evil cackle of a woman rang throughout the house. Ayato crashed to his knees and covered his ears. He began to scream bloody murder while curling to fetal position. "Make it stop!" Ayato shouted, "Make it stop!" The brothers tried to help Ayato but there wasn't much they could do. They tried to comfort him but could only wait out the several minutes of screaming before the boy passed out in his brothers arms.
