Okay this is based off The Maine's song Right girl. Hope you like it :D
”Come on girl, we’ll have fun,” Miranda took my arm strongly and dragged me in. I sighed; I didn’t feel like going out tonight. I felt more like going in a quiet place and cry but that didn’t matter to her. She dragged me in a new bar half and hour away from where we live. “New place, new people,” she told me. I guess she was right.
We stepped in and saw people talking at the counter. This place seemed OK I guessed. We walked to the bar and sat. Miranda ordered us drinks. “So I know this is a hard time. Parents shit, life choices and stuffs. That all sucks,” she said taking the glass the server made. She drank it in one sip when it wasn’t meant to be drinking in a shot. I sighed and took a sip of mine.
“Yeah, I mean it’s been hell living with my parents for years and now they decide they’re breaking up,” I paused, “Thought it would make things easier but no. Now they’re fighting over who gets the house and stuff. I wish I’d just disappear.” I placed my hair behind my ear before drinking again. I looked around not knowing what I wanted to find exactly.
“But I’m glad I’m getting you out of this straight and boring life,” she smiled. “Let’s get crazy!” Maybe alcohol was very effective on her. She got up and made her way to the jukebox. I took my glass in my hand and followed her. “What do you want?” She asked me with a smile on her face before laughing. She put on an old song. “Let’s dance.” She took me in the middle of the room and started to dance along the music. I followed her. I really felt the need to evacuate all the bad in me tonight. I felt like I had kept in all the shitty things and I needed to let it go free so I could finally see clear again.
The song ended and we went back to sit at the bar and ordered another drink. We were laughing and having fun –what I didn’t have since a long time. “You looked like you were having fun.” I turned over and saw a pretty boy. I smiled at him and nodded. “I’m Toby,” he introduced himself and offered his hand to me. “I’m Y/N.” I shook his hand and he smiled. He had a really nice smile. The drinks Miranda and I ordered arrived and I drank half of it.
“So are you new?” I laughed for a really long time. He must have thought I was crazy or something. “No,” I finally said. He shook his head and smiled again. God he had a nice smile. “I don’t know I’m just trying to make conversation.” It was my turn to smile. I drank my glass and asked him if he was a usual customer. “No, I… I’m actually in a band and we were playing here –in town I mean- tonight.” I shook my head impressed.
“Do you guys want me to leave you alone?” Miranda interrupted our talk. “I’m completely bored anyways.” She took her drink and left. “Sorry she’s a bit drunk,” I apologized for her. He understood. “So what brought you here?” He asked me and that’s how the full deep and heart to heart conversation began. We sat there for about 2 or 3 hours. I told him about my family and love life –which I’m sure he didn’t wanna hear-, about how my boyfriend –Luke- and I were on a break and my career that felt like falling apart. Basically my whole life was.
“But that’s fine we’re still young, you still have time to find out what you wanna do with all that,” Toby reassured me. We were now outside smoking a cigarette –I haven’t done that since high school and I didn’t really enjoy it but I wanted to try something else. I laughed. “You think 21 is young.” He smiled to the ground. “Younger than 23,” he joked.
