(A/N: HOLY UNICORNS WAS THIS CHAPTER HARD TO WRITE! Blehhhh school and writers block :P But, I think this chapter is the best one yet! Also very feelsy... *evil laughter* Oh, and this part mentions tornados, but I know nothing about them! I literally just googled them. Hope you enjoy, and see you in the next chapter! There is an ATLA reference in here, tell me if you find it ;)

Asami could hear the storm before she felt it. The winds sounded like a hungry monster, devouring anything in the way of its jaws.

She, Korra, Mako, and Bolin were headed to somehow try and stop the storm. If that plan failed, plan B was to evacuate the city, and hope the tornado died off before it caused any more damage.

But Korra was set on stopping it. "We have defeated a mad man with a mask, a guy who unleashed the center of darkness, a group of terrorists who killed the Earth Queen, and a powerful dictator. How hard can one tornado be?" she joked.

Asami was slightly worried for her wife. The mechanic knew that Korra was very powerful- the most powerful person she had ever met, in fact. But the Avatar was trying to bend the elements out of the storm; both of them were going to be playing tug-of-war with water and wind. And only one of them had a crushable body.

Asami caught Korra's eye. She must've somehow read her thoughts, because the bender leaned over and squeezed her love's hand. 'Korra has very nice hands' Asami noticed absentmindedly. They were smooth, even after all the years of bending.

"Hey," she said gently, "It's going to be okay." Korra gave the hand a squeeze. "I'm going to be okay."

Asami took a deep breath, and managed a smile. The Avatar was right. Korra was okay, Korra was always okay. After everything that woman had been through, stopping this should be nothing.

It's not like that storm could kill her.

***********

Korra was worried. More worried than she had been in a while, in fact. Not for herself, like Asami was, but for the town. The water tribe girl had fought and defeated many forces, but never a force of nature. In all honesty, Korra wasn't sure if she could do this.

"But I have to," she reminded herself, "If I don't, people could die. I will not let that happen."

In the nervous silence in which none of the group members spoke, she repeated that like a mantra.

I will not let that happen.

I will not let that happen.

I will not let that happen.

I will not let that happen.

**************

Arriving on the scene, Korra thought it could be much, much worse. She guessed that at least half of the residents were in the square, and a woman she thought to be the mayor was trying to calm them all down, without much success.

There was one sight, though, that made her heart freeze. She guessed that Mako saw it too, because Korra heard him suck in a shaky breath and Bolin let out a loud gasp.

In the distance, traveling at a frighteningly quick speed, was the monster.

Even at a distance, the Avatar could tell it was a large tornado. And she had to fight it.

I'm the Avatar.

I'm surrounded by friends.

I can do this.
