(*me chanting* angst angst aNGST ANGST

i am so so so sorry for the long wait! i feel like I say this every chapter :P anyway, so basically this part is a bunch of other characters who react to Korra's death whom I did not have enough inspiration to make an entire part for. I am not really proud of this because it isn't very well written and didn't have a ton of passion for it like other chapters, but I did want to get in as much characters as I can. so, here it is :D

!!!!! BUT I HAVE SOME VERY IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!

we are nearing the end of this story. i plan about one or two more chapters :( I will have some big mushy speech at the final part, but for now, please enjoy!

Korra was surprised when President Raiko showed any emotion at the news of her death.

Korra was teleporting (in that weird airbender-y way) to each person she could think of  who knew her personally, to see if they needed help through her death. It was about a day after the events with Zaheer, and the now dead woman found herself in Raiko's office, this one without a tree growing through.

He was writing a speech for an upcoming event, and Korra watched him curiously. She stood by the dark brown oak desk, peering over his shoulder because she knew the President couldn't see her. A loud ringing sound made them both jolt.

Raiko sighed, and picked up the object through which the noise was emitting from. "President Raiko here," he said into the phone. The Avatar sat down in the chair across from him, absolutely certain this was the news of her passing.

She was right.

A look came over Raiko's face, and Korra had to lean closer to make sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her.

His eyes...

It looked like there was shock in them... and grief?

"I see," the President choked out. "Thats... terrible, awful news. Who else has been informed? Okay..."

The conversation continued, but Korra was focusing on Raiko's expression.

In the time they had known each other, the pair had never been friends. Not mortal enemies, but nowhere near companions. That's why she was puzzled why he looked so troubled.

The water tribe woman understood why it would be shaking to hear that the Avatar was dead, but Raiko looked sad to hear that Korra was gone.

Of course, the person at the other end of the phone did not know this. So, the spectacled man said in a businesslike tone that contrasted harshly with his face,  "Alert the White Lotus immediately. The search in the Earth Kimgdom must begin. Alert Lin Beifong, and tell her to set up a team to look at all the earthbending residents here, as well as any citizens who are married or related to one. If you find any outside of Republic City, bring them here. Bolin will be their teacher. I am sure of it."

Korra grinned at that.

"And set up a meeting with a funeral planner in two weeks with Asami Sato."

Oh.

Asami was going to hate that.

The person at the other end of the line said a few more things, then the conversation was over. The president let out a long, shaky breath, and ran his hands down his face. They came to a stop at his nose, fingers pressed together in a triangle formation. Korra blinked as he began to speak.
