Picture of Jack's red motorcycle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adeline Chapman:
As we rushed through the busy and small streets of Westfield, my hair flew all over the place and the soft hum of the motorcycle was so relaxing, I fell asleep. I never thought riding a motorcycle could be like this, I always thought of it more as dangerous than relaxing. I wrapped my arms tighter around Jack and snuggled into the back of his shoulder. A few minutes later, I fell into a deep sleep.
~~~~5 minutes later~~~~~
I felt a hand gently tap my back and a person softly whisper in my ear, "Adaline, we're here." The voice was velvety and smooth, relaxing me even more. I then woke up, startled. I felt a sharp pain on my right shoulder. "I tried to wake you up a different way but that didn't work, so I resorted to my last idea and I pinched you." He said. "It was you who was calling my name? I thought it was all a dream! Wait! So I actually went on a motorcycle?!? Oh my god! If my parents ever find out about this, I'm dead!" Adaline said, with fear in her voice. "The only way they would ever find out, is if you told them. So here's an idea, don't tell them." Jack said with sarcastically. "While you were asleep, we arrived at the mall. I had tried waking you up for the past 10 minutes now." He said with a slight hint of anger in his voice. Embarrassed, I responded. "I'm sorry. It's just, riding on the motorcycle was so relaxing it, lulled me to sleep." I said fidgeting with my fingers. Jack sighed. "Well since we're here now let's get started with your makeover. We'll be going to Forever 21 to pick out your new wardrobe with the help of my sister Cera, and her friend Bailey. By the way, you should be wearing the clothes we buy today to school from now on. Got it?" Jack said with a stern look on his face. "Got it." I said, throwing a nod towards his way. We began walking to the clothing store he suggested and waited patiently near the counter for his sister and her friend, Cera and Bailey to come. "Eeeeek." A shrill girl's voice yelled. "Omg! Jack, what are you doing here? I missed you so much!" She said wrapping him into a hug. I felt a tint of jealousy and a tug at my heart, but I ignored it. "I couldn't have possibly developed feelings for Jack that fast could I? Not after what happened with Will... We're just friends." I said debating with myself. Another girl walked toward us and stood beside me. "Hi, I'm Cera, which you probably already knew. Well, we should get started. What type of clothes do you want Adaline?" She asked. "Wow." I thought. "She's actually really nice." "Thank you." Cera said laughing. "Did I think out loud?" I asked, groaning. Cera laughed again. "Yes you did." "Well?" The other girl who I'm guessing, is Bailey said. "What? Oh! Um, can I have three open shoulder dresses, three strapless dresses, and just whatever else you think would look good on me. Is that okay?" I said looking back at Jack. He looked a little surprised I asked him that question. "Huh? Oh uh-uh that's f-fine." "Great." Cera said with enthusiasm in her voice. "You guys sit right there. Bailey and I'll go pick out the outfits for you." Bailey looked furious. "Me? Why me? Why can't SHE go?!? She's the one who's buying all this crap." She said angrily pointing at me. My once happy smile quickly faltered into a gloomy frown. "Besides I think Jack would want ME to stay with him and not HER. Right Jackie-Poo?" She said, putting a hand on his chest, aimlessly flirting with him. He shoved her away from him and walked toward me. He put an arm around my shoulder and said, "Why do you even try any more Bailey? You know I don't think of you like that. I think of you as my little sister." He said, with a look of disgust on his face. "Ugh!" Bailey groaned, stomping away. "Thanks Jack!" Cera yelled as she tried to keep up with Bailey. I giggled. "Thanks." I said. "No problemo." He said with a wide grin. "It was the least I could do to help. Besides, I didn't even like her." He said, shrugging. I looked at him and caught him staring at me. He quickly gazed somewhere else and whistled, trying to be smooth. As I looked closer at his face, I noticed his cheeks turning slightly pink. I let out a soft chuckle. "What? What's so funny? Is there something on my face?" He asked touching his face. "Nope." I said still giggling. "Well, what is it?" He asked curiously. "It's just that you were blushing." I said smiling. "Oh." Jack said, flushed. I think he was blushing more now than he ever had. "Are you blushing Jack?" I said raising my eyebrows. "Pfft no! What are you talking about? My cheeks are just... normally this pink." He said. "Really?" I said sarcastically. "Yup and oh! Would you look at that they're back with your clothes. Off you go!"Jack said pushing me towards Cera and Bailey. I steadied myself from his rough push, and looked behind me to see him rushing out of the store in a hurry. "Oh, poor Jack." I said, shaking my head. When I looked back in front of me, clothes were pushed into my arms. It was Bailey. "Here you go loser. Just stay out of my way and don't hang out with Jack anymore. He's mine! If I can't have him, you can't have him either." She said, before walking away. "What was that all about?" I asked Cera as we walked toward the dressing rooms. "Oh, Bailey's always been like that. She's had a crush on him since forever, but Jack always rejects her. She always trys again and again though. "Sigh. That girl never gives up, does she?" Cera said. "So, here are your clothes. You try them on and I'll be waiting for you outside." "Ok. Thanks a bunch Cera." "No problem. Any friend of Jack's is a friend of mine." She said, grinning. I tried on the first dress. It was a short and gorgeous strapless red dress with a bejeweled belt below the chest area. I loved it! It was absolutely stunning. It showed off my long and lean legs and it hugged my figure and curves. It was absolutely perfect! I went outside to show Cera and she gasped. "Girl, you look fabulous! If Jack could see you now, he would absolutely die!" Cera said, shrieking. I blushed. "Thanks Cera, but Jack and I aren't together. She stopped her squealing. "You guys aren't?" She said, a frown appearing on her face. I nodded. "Oh." Cera said, "Couple or no couple, Jack would still die for you." She said, shrugging what I said to her off with a wave of her hand. I rolled my eyes and walked back towards the dressing room. "This is going to be a long, long day." I said to myself, sighing. I shut the door and locked it.
