It was a long drive to the shooting range, well not really, only half an hour. But when your trying to avoid your past it feels like years. We arrived at a field with cans set up on the fence line. I pulled out my Winchester magnum and picked a spot.
Load.
Aim.
Shoot.
One.
Load.
Aim.
Shoot.
Two.
I repeated this only missing two right on out of six.
I looked over to see everyone shocked.
"What? We came here for shooting practice. Right?" I said.
"Right! See there's an example. Everyone choose a spot!" Andrea shouted.
I looked to see everyone doing fine but I thought I'd help.
"Eh Soph, try taking the safety off" Shane scoffed, and I glared at him.
"Don't mind him, he's just a jerk. Here" I showed here how to take off the safety and showed her how to aim. She did has I said but still missed. After a few misses I came up with an idea. When I was first learning my my grandpa said to pretended the can is someone I hate, it worked.
"Pretended its Shane" I whispered. She tilted her head to the side questioning it.
"Trust me it helps" she shrugged and tried. Bam! Not perfect but she just missed the middle.
"Wow! It worked" Sophia smiled.
"Whoa! Jose what you say? Help me!" Carl shouted from were he's at.
"Your knights calling you" Sophia giggled and I rolled my eyes.
"Carl I shouldn't say my secret. I'll show you some pointers though." I walked over to him and told him to aim, he raised it with on hand.
"Two hands. Helps steady it and also it's proper" I started. He fixed his hands on the gun and man did he look hot holding a gun. He turned is head to me and smiled.
"Like that?"
"Y-yeah, um now aim. And pretended its someone you hate." I stuttered, but quickly covered it with a tip.
"That's your secret?" He laughed.
"Yep." I said coolie. We both laughed and he shot, missing the can.
"Line it up better, here" I stood right next to him and placed my hand on his left which was holding up the gun. His hand felt warm against my skin. I blushed a bit but hid it by facing the target.
"Shoot," Carl fired the gun getting the can right in the centre.
"Thanks" Carl smiled down at me since he was about half a foot taller then me. This reminded me of last night, I was lost in his eyes.
Carl's POV
'Jose? I like you, a lot, go out with me?' I said in my head. If only I could at it out loud to her.
"Jose" I started.
"Yeah?" She asked so sweetly.
"Uh I want to a- say thanks for the tip" why can't I say it??
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
"Oh. Yeah no problem." She sounded disappointed,Blayne she was expecting something else, maybe she likes me.
"Carl! Come on! You to girls! We gotta go" Shane yelled.
Just then I heard a scream. Walkers.
"Carl! Jose!" Sophia screamed. Just then a walker came up behind me and grabbed my shoulder.
"Carl!" Jose cried before raising her gun and firing a shop just missing my right ear.
"T-thanks" I stuttered. If this were a movie I would of kissed her by now, but it's not and life ain't that easy. I haven't had my first kiss yet but I have this feeling around her, or urge I guess to kiss her.
"Carl you alright?" Shane yelled, pushing Jose out of the way making her fall on her side.
"I'm fine" I scowled.
"Jose" I walked over to her and lend a hand to help her up.
She thank me and we ran hand in hand to the RV.
Shane's POV
God I hate her! Josefine is only twelve and she could ruin everything! She can replace me with her 'wise ideas'. This kid could make it up to leader, if she lives that long. I need her out of the group. I'll find something or someway to make everyone turn on her.
Force her out or kill her.

That shooting tip is one my grandpa taught me. Always pretended it was a bully in my class. Ik not nice but it does help with releasing anger. Lol don't judge!
So Shane's dumb enough to be jealous of a twelve year old. What twisted idea does he have in mind? Will he find something out about her past?
The next few chapters should be awesome, twisted, and past's will be revealed.
