Rain stung my face as I ran, I ran as fast as I could. I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't care. It was dripping down my face and mixed with my tears that I finally let flood my eyes. I finally ended up in a park that had an overhang over a bench. I ran to it and stood under it, I took off my soaking wet jacket and let out a sigh of relief as I tried to stop myself from crying. I couldn't believe what just happened. I walked back and fourth, thinking about if I should go home? Or just say here for a while longer. I was so scared.

Okay, let me back up. I was the nerd of the school, and I had a couple of good friends, but I would get stuff thrown at me in the hallways by all the popular girls that had all the hot boyfriends. But Brianna Wilson was the worst. She was a blond that got whatever boy even looked at her, and this week she had Ethan Dolan, the football, wrestling, and lacrosse captain. He was the all around perfect guy, and man did every girl in the whole school want to be in his arms. I know I did! But bri got to him first. She goes through guys like a hot knife through butter(that's what old people say😂).

She once started a rumor about me that I stuff my bra, so all the guys kept staring at me and I cried in the bathroom for hours. Once she told all the guys on the football team that I had a goal to sleep with all of them, so for the next month they all whistled at me and pinched my butt and would gather around me and push me around. They would grab me and shove me and laugh the whole time. It was so embarrassing. One time I fell really hard and I started crying, and someone picked me up, I looked up to see Ethan. He told the guys to stop and he walked me to class, but I had that class with bri, and she saw Ethan walk me to class. So she wrote me a note to stay away from him. No problem for me, he hasn't talked to me since anyways. But sometimes he smiles at me in the hallway when he is walking with bri, she just gives me dirty look. And I just keep my head down and go to class.
But this time was the worse thing she has ever done to me. At school today, a girl from her friend group invited me to a party, and like an idiot I went. I went into the house and smiled as her and her friends gestured for me to come over to them. I thought they liked me kinda. But then they all started asking me what I was wearing and started to rip my shirt and shorts off, just because they thought my outfit was ugly, my shirt was almost totally off when Ethan came up to bri and told her to stop. I was about to cry, my bra was showing and he saw me! I was so embarrassed. So I just ran, and here I am. Thinking about what I should do, go home? I had no idea where I was! I wasn't that far from the house. I sat out in the rain for a while longer until I heard someone calling my name.

"Y/n! It's Ethan! Please come back!" I heard Ethan yell.

I walked out from under the over hang, I was still soaking wet, and so was he now. He looked so sexy all wet and out of breath.

"Y/n, I'm sorry about bri! Are you okay?" He asked pulling my shirt back up over my shoulder. I just looked at him in awe. I wanted to kiss him so badly.

"Are you cold? You look cold" he said taking off his semi dry jacket.

"Why do you care? I'm nothing to you! Bri is everything. Why aren't you back there laughing with them about me" I said turning around.

I felt a pair of big, strong hands on my arm which made me stop in my tracks.

"I wasn't laughing with them. I came to find you, to make sure your okay!" He said, rain was dripping off the tips of his hair and hitting my face. He was closer to me then I was comfortable with. I backed away, but he wouldn't let me move.

He moved my hair out of my face and looked into my eyes. He wiped the water out of my face and wiped it off on my already wet clothes as a joke. I chuckled and so did he.

"Ethan, I don't understand" I said confused.

"Y/n, bri is a bully. you deserve so much more!" He said taking my hands.

"Ugh...I don't-" I started, but it was too late, his lips were in mine. And I was in love with him.

I moved my hands around his neck and he pulled me closer to his wet body. Rain was getting in our mouths as he put his tongue in my mouth. I shuttered at how weird it felt to have someone else's tongue in my mouth. But damn he was good at kissing.

He stopped and connected our foreheads.

"Let me take you home?" He whispered.

I nodded and we walked to his car, holding hands. He was the first boy I've held hands with, and it felt right!

We walked back to the party house where his car was. Bri came out and was laughing with her friends.

"Hey eth lets-" she started before she saw me.

"Ewwwwww Ethan get away from her!" She said coming towards us. She shoved me off of Ethan and I stumbled back.

"No Briana, in taking her home!" I he said taking my hand again.

"What? What about me?" She said annoyed.

"I guess you'll find your own ride home?" He said looking at one of his friends who had a crush on her. He was cheering silently behind her.

I smiled at her getting a taste of her own medicine. How does it feel bitch? Hurts doesn't it!

"Come on y/n" he said opening the door for me, I got in quickly.

"Ethan Dolan. If you drive off in that car then that's the end! It's either me or her!" She yelled at him. I looked at him in horror of what he was gunna way.

"Ummmm" he said as he looked at me.

"Her" he said looking back at bri and pointed at me.

She scoffed and stomped away. Ethan got in the car beside me and winked at me. He took my hand and kissed it.

"Let me show you how you deserve to be treated baby" he said staring the car and driving off.

"Damn I've been wanting to do this for a long time" he said chucking!

"What? Break up with bri?" I said laughing.

"No, be with you" he said smiling at me.

I smiled back at him and he intertwined our fingers as we drove down the high way to his house. I hoped that highway never ended.
