This is a real throwback. I wrote this so long ago, but the lame plot is worthy to be put in this compilation. It's about that girl and boy again ;)
I tied my hair back out of my face as I walked up to the living hell; school. I had gone here for not only a month and I hate it. My middle school: where the water fountains have old squishy food clogging them, and horrifying teachers who will purposely tease you to enjoy it themselves. I've had about three injuries, falling down two sets of stairs within one day, and tripping while walking to my desk in class. I guess you could say I'm a little clumsy.
I strolled into school, walking over to my locker, opening it quietly and stuffing everything in there while grabbing out my binder and book. I was planning on going to the library since it was a bit cold this morning. As I got into the empty library, I spent a good half hour before the ten minute bell rang, letting everyone know to go get their things. As I approached my locker, there was a couple making out right on it. I sighed loudly, making a point that I was there. About five minutes went by of me trying to get their attention--and ignoring awkward stares from other students--until I finally got into my locker and pulled my first two spirals out. I heard the final bell ringing. I was late. Shoot. I turned around quickly, and hit a tall warm body, knocking me to the ground with a clunk.
I coughed a few times, gaining back the air that I had lost. When I looked up, I saw no other than my crush, Darius. Oh gosh. Act cool.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Clover." he said, standing up and grabbing my books and my hand, yanking me up. I nodded my head and grabbed my things uncomfortably without making eye contact. ACT COOL.
Five seconds passed of awkward silence until Darius spoke up, "Um, I actually came here to talk to you." Right as those words came flowing out of his mouth, my head snapped up.
"Me?" I breathed, forgetting how to stand on my own two feet. My knees started shaking.
Darius chuckled lightly and rubbed the back of his neck. His hot...hot neck. Snap out of it, Rosemary!
"Yeah, I-um, actually wanted to, uh, ask y-you out. On a date with m-me" he spoke slowly, looking a little flustered. I don't know if it was a cough or choke, but I simultaneously did both, shoving my glasses off of the perk of my nose.
"Yes please." I blurted instantly after breathing correctly. Darius chuckled again.
"Great." he responded, pleased.
I nodded and echoed his words in an exhale. I was barely above a whisper.
He smirked and started leaning in closer. His lips brushed my side lip and jaw, coming up to my ear.
"See you in second period..." he whispered huskily into my ear, before taking off.
What. Just. Happened.
