Tiffany sat anxiously waiting for the airplane to finally land.

"It's going to be alright," Carter reassured from the seat beside. His fingers curled lightly around her wrist, as if she were a fragile doll made to break. She guessed, in a way, she was.

After Daniel's departure from their town without Tiffany's complete forgiveness, she'd sleep only to find herself a tear-stained mess in the morning.

Although she'd insisted Carter to not come along, he was too plain stubborn.

However, she was also thankful because who knew if she could've handled the situation without his moral support. Luckily, her employer at her workplace had also been sympathetic of her and let her go without the risk of losing her job when she came back.

She was also relieved that her family hadn't objected too much when she'd told them what she was planning to do. Actually, her brother's and father hadn't been too keen to the idea, but they'd let her after she explained the situation.

"Look, the airplane's landing."

She peered out the window, a feeling of queasiness settling in the pit of her stomach.

This was it. This was the day that she would finally see Daniel after so long and tell him that she forgave him.

She honestly didn't know how he'd react to her presence. Would he be happy? relieved? angry?

This was all too much for her, but she needed this. Just like several months ago he'd been the one insisting that she forgive him, now it was she who was determined to find a way to finally do so- for both.

She needed to let by gones be by gones in order to be able to move on. That, and the fact that it was also her last solace in knowing that Daniel might only have few time left.

Afterall, she still cared for him and she knew for sure that she never wanted anything bad to occur to him.

"Tiffany, you okay?"

She looked away from the window and towards Carter who wore worry creases on his face.

"Yep, I'm okay. Let's do this."

Now was not the time to back down. Especially not when the plane was just about to land. To say that she had butterflies in her stomach would be a great understatement. It felt like a hungry lion was clawing at her insides, fighting to get out.

I can do this she told herself.

It was only minutes later as they sat in the taxi cab that she realized that she'd come completely unprepared. Having never actually traveled across the world, Tiffany hadn't given a second thought to the clothes she packed.

"Carter," she started.

"Yeah?" he replied instantly.

"I- uh, I didn't bring any jackets with me."

It was in that moment that he noticed how she was pressed closely to him in an effort to share body heat as a last resort to keep warm. Tiffany could feel how her cheeks had tinted pink by their sudden warmness.

"Here, I can lend you mine," He told her as he pulled his sweater off effortlessly and handed it to her.

She took it reluctantly and smiled up at him gratefully.
