Chapter 13

Killian's POV

I sit up on my bed against the headboard and I start to cry, I am not even sure why but I keep doing this. For the past week or so I have just been in random places like the kitchen or the living room or my room, or even in the boy's bathroom at school or in the park or something. I am always alone when I do it though, I never like crying in front of people.

Hey, can you come over? ~ Killian

Sure baby, do you want to set up a movie or something? Perfect activity for a rainy day like today. ~ Emma

No, I just want to talk to you ~ Killian

Emma drives over and I answer the door. She gives me a kiss then sits on the couch and she says "what's all this?" looking at all the boxes laid across the living room floor, I say "I have something for you." I pick up one of the boxes and I hand it to her. She opens it and shock spreads across her face. "Why would you give me these?" She asks lifting some old football jerseys and other stuff from middle school.
"I just- we were going through my stuff-"
"You're not gone yet, do you hear me? You are still here, I won't except this." She says putting the box back on the ground.
"Fine... at least take the jersey and a couple shirts..."
"Ok, I love you..."
"I love you too." I say "So do you want to like watch a movie or something?"
"Ok, we could do that... I'm kind of hungry actually."
"Ok let's get something to eat then."
We head in the kitchen and I pull a head of lettuce out of the fridge "What about this?" I say holding it up.
She laughs and says "What about a sandwich?"
"But that's so boring..."
"Maybe but at least it will fill you up a little bit..."
"Fine." I say then she playfully pushes me.
We make our sandwiches and head upstairs then we sit on the bed.
"Do you wanna watch something?" She asks looking at my laptop.
"What about 'Marley & Me'?" I suggest
"But that movie is SO sad."
"I know but its so sweet."
"Ok... or we could watch like a disney movie or someth- oh crap." She says as jelly falls from her sandwich onto her shirt.
"Just use one of the shirts I gave you."
She heads to the bathroom and comes out wearing an old shirt with a logo on it that says our school initials on it.
"This is really comfy..." she says
"It's a little big on you but thats ok."
We snuggle up on the bed and decide to watch 'The Fault In Our Stars' I know it's not that much happier than 'Marley & Me' but it still seemed like a good option, plus Emma is practically obsessed with the book and the movie so yeah. We lie horizontally on the bed with Emma's head pressed into my chest and her arms wrapped around me then Liam enters my room "Hey Killian, can I borrow- oh..." He says and then turns around. "No, come in Liam, nothing happened... We were literally just watching a movie..." I say laughing as I sit up.
"Ok, I was just gonna ask you if I could borrow your wide toothed comb." He says
"Wait, Killian you have a wide toothed and a narrow toothed comb?" Emma asks laughing a little.
"Well I-" I start but Liam interrupts me "No, he has 5, it's like a whole set with a tiny brush and little spray bottle and everything."
Emma looses it and starts cracking up.
"Out!" I scream at Liam. He closes the door quickly then about 2 seconds later he opens it and says "So that's a yes on the comb?"
"I said out!" I say reaching to the end of the bed shooing him away. Emma is still laughing.
"4 combs? Really, Killian."
"It's actually 5..." I correct her mumbling...
"Oh 5 is it?" She says laughing even more.
"Hey, hygiene is important."
She is still laughing. "I know that but I don't even have 5 combs." she says "And I'm a girl, plus if I did, I wouldn't have different size teeth for each of them."
"Can we just watch the movie?" I ask
She finishes laughing and says "Yes." Then we lie back down and she wraps her arms around me.

We finish the movie and at this point Emma is crying SO much.
"Killian, why?! Why did it have to be Augustus?!" She asks crying into my shoulder. She might be sad because of the movie but I think she also realizing that's going to be me soon. I lift up her chin off my shoulder and wipe the tears from her face then she says "Do you want to like play a game or something?"
I look out the window and say "No, I have a better idea."
She looks at me and says "No way are we going out in the rain..."
"It'll be fun..."
"No, that makes me nervous, with your wheelchair and everything, your still trying to figure it all out..." She says sounding worried
"No, it'll be fun!" I say "Come on babe!"
"Fine." She says with a smile. Then she slowly wheels me out the door into the rain. She pushes me around on the sidewalk while we laugh and scream our heads off. We stop and she says "I love you so much." She bends down next to me and I grab her cheeks and say "I love you too." Then all of a sudden it starts snowing.
"Oh my gosh! It's snowing!" I say. The snowflakes fall on her blonde hair so perfectly and she looks so beautiful in this light, I sometimes wonder how I got so lucky to have her in my life.
"Killian." She says.
"Yes?" I ask
"Shut up and kiss me..."
"Hey you stole my line." I say
"Like I said, shut up and kiss me."
"But I-" Then she presses her lips against mine, I know its cliche to kiss in the rain but honestly I don't care, this moment right here, is not cliche to me... to me it's special.
