Emma's POV

I enter the school and see bright colored flyers pinned all over the lockers and school walls. I see Killian and put my hands over his eyes.
"Guess who." I say
"Swan?" He asks
Then I walk around his chair so now I'm standing in front of him. I gives him a kiss and ask "What's that?" looking at the paper in his lap.
"A flyer for the dance on Friday." He says
"Oh that." I say rolling her eyes.
I pick it up and read it:

Valentines Dance
Beckett High School
Tickets: $4.00
Student ID Required
Friday, February 12
From 7:00pm-10:00pm

"What?"
"I kind of hate valentines day, it's a stupid fantasy. It's just a day where people in relationships make single people feel bad about themselves just for not having a significant other." I say irritated
"Yeah..."
"Hey..." I say lifting up his chin. "Is something wrong?"
"No... why?"
"You just seem distant..."
"Really, Swan, I'm fine." He says
"Ok..." I say, then the bell rings.

•••The Next Day•••

"Hey, I have been thinking, maybe we should go to the dance." I say looking at Killian next to me on the couch.
"Really? I thought you didn't like Valentine's Day." He asks surprised
"Yeah, I do think it's stupid, but it's us, after the dance we could come back here and hang out and have an authentic Valentine's Day, not too cheesy, just simple and romantic."
"Ok, whatever you want, love." He says with a smile

•••The Next Day•••

Hey I am going dress shopping today, want to come? ~ Emma

I text Killian. I want to get a nice dress for Friday, and this way he can get a matching tie.

I suddenly hear the ring of my phone.

"Hey Swan, as much as I would like to see you try on dresses, wouldn't you want to take one of your other friends instead?" Killian says into the phone.

"I was actually going to invite Lacey too, no offense but men don't exactly have the best sense of style, I just thought you could come so that we could pick out a tie for you too." I respond "Why didn't you just text me?"

"I- well I wanted to hear your voice." I can almost hear the smile on the other end.

"Aw. Ok, so I will pick you up at 5:00 then the 3 of us could go grab some dinner."

"Ok sounds good, love." He says
I hang up the phone and get ready, then I swing by the hotel that Killian and his family is staying at while the house is being rebuilt and I pick him up. I help Killian into the front seat and he asks "Where's Lacey?"
"I'm picking her up at 5:30 and it takes 15 minutes to get over there soo..."
"So we'll be there early?" He asks
"Noo." I say turning into a parking spot. "I just thought we could do this for a couple minutes." Then I kiss him.

Killian breaks off and says "Swan, look at the clock."
"It's already 5:25?! Crap, lets go."
We head to Lacey's and after she hopes in the backseat she asks "What took you guys so long?"
Me and Killian exchange awkward looks then I finally say "Traffic..."

We head to the mall and go to a couple stores then we find a store thats filled with all sorts of dresses. They have wedding dresses, ballroom dresses, casual dresses, and prom dresses... I figure I will just wear one of those. I grab a few and head into the dressing room. Lacey and Killian sit on the chairs outside of the changing stalls. I slip a sparkly red dress on, and try to zip the back up but I am having some trouble so I yell out "Hey Lacey, can you come help me zip up the back?"
"I can help you with that, love." Says Killian suavely.
I peek over the stall door and see him try to stand up but Lacey pushes him back down from his head. "Nice try." Me and Lacey say in unison.
