Chapter Eleven: I believe

Chapter Eleven! Yay CX

I'm sorry for snapping on you all last update. The stress of everything has just been getting so overwhelming. And I just had finals so like...kill me now. But now that I'm not stressing over those...this book is full steam ahead! I'll keep this one short and I just want to say thank you for sticking with me through this horrifically timed updates xc

I've decided to update my books about once a month. I mean I am working on publishing so I think once a month should be doable :)

Lucy lay in her bed, pink blanket pulled up to her nose as she sat in silence. She was beginning to miss the sound of Natsu and Happy around the guild. She actually missed walking in and finding them in her room. Lucy squeezed her eyes shut and turned onto her side, pulling her blanket over her head.

She hated to admit it...but she wanted Natsu to be there with her.

She was surprised when tears filled her eyes and she pushed the blanket into her eyes.

A knock on her window made her peek her head out, looking up in curiosity. Her eyes widened and she sat up, her tank top strap falling from her shoulder as she opened the window. "Happy?" She questioned as the cat flew into her chest, making her breath leave her in a woosh. She felt the cat crying and her expression softened, her hands moving to hug the small feline. "It's alright, Happy." She murmured softly, petting him soothingly.

"I-It's so lonely..." He whimpered and her heart twanged, holding tighter. "Lu-shee..."

"It's okay, Happy." She murmured and his paws tightened on the fabric of her shirt. The two sat in silence, his soft sobs, making tears spill from Lucy's eyes as she squeezed them shut. "Natsu's okay. He has to be." She murmured and Happy pulled back to look at her.

"Y-You're crying?" He asked softly, rubbing his eyes. Lucy smiled softly, wiping her tears away and letting out a shaky breath.

"Of course I am." She whispered softly. "I miss that dunce." She said and Happy sniffed. "I'm trying really hard to be strong because that's what he would want, right?" She asked and Happy looked at her, nodding slightly.

"Aye." He murmured softly. The two sat in silence for a while, Happy's sniffs the only thing breaking the quiet. Lucy let out a sudden chuckle and Happy turned his head to look at Lucy in question.

"I'm trying to remember some of our missions with him." Lucy clarified and Happy offered a small smile. "Like the day the two of you brought me to Fairy Tail..." Happy watched her as she began to ramble off some of the missions.

"And...when we were on Tenrou...." Lucy said after a while, her voice softening which caused Happy to lay his head on her leg. "Natsu gave me strength. He...He held my hand--"

"Lucy, do you love Natsu?" Happy interrupted, causing the blonde to stiffen and widen her eyes.

"W-What?" She asked, looking down at the cat, her hand on his side. "W-Why do you ask that?"

"I'm just curious. It would be really cool if you did."

"Why?"

"Because Natsu loves you...a lot." He said simply, his eyes closed. Lucy's face grew red as a furious blush covered her cheeks.

"N-Natsu loves everyone in Fairy Tail. I-I'm his teammate, just like you and Erza and Gray and-"

"Natsu loves you more." Happy said. "He tells me every morning that he's gonna tell you how he feels...but he never does." Happy's paw tightened on her leg. "I just...I thought I should tell you just in case he doesn't make it--"
