Catching Air

They're trying to conceal what happened the night of the party, Luke has washed both his and Jai's clothes and the killer has sent them a warning letter could they be fitting them up for the murder of the girl. Keeping the letter from Beau is dangerous will Jai destroy it before Beau sees it? 

"What do we do now" Luke said sweating and jumpy "they were just asking if we seen anything chill out" Beau said "no i think they suspect more" James said standing by the door "what makes you say that" Skip asked him looking worried "before they left the one of them told me to tell you guys to make sure you knew what you were saying" Luke jumped up and started pacing "Luke will you sit down" Beau said "don't tell me what to do, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't even be in this mess" Luke stormed away he was afraid and upset "he's just scared" Beau looked around "he's right Beau we shouldn't of listened to you" Jai walked off after Luke and left the rest of them to it. 

"This is all his fault" Luke said in a panic pacing up and down the room "yeah i know" Jai said agreeing with him "Jai we need to tell someone this is murder" Luke stopped and looked directly at Jai "we will figure something out just stay calm don't panic" Jai was trying to calm Luke down, "is he ok" James asked coming in to the room to see Luke pale white and worried "he will be fine" Jai said to James "we need to do something and fast this is getting out of control" James said closing over the door "we can't tell Beau anything he got us in to this mess" Luke exclaimed "i know but sneaking around he's going to notice something" James said trying to come up with a plan. "Lets get out of here for a while all of us" Jai opened the door and walked out followed by Luke and James "come on get your shit we're going out" Jai called to Beau and Skip. 

Out in the car heading in to town they passed a house with flowers sitting outside it surrounding the front of the home "Beau back up" Skip said, Beau reversed the car back to the house and they all got out. Walking up to the house they knew who the flowers were for "this was her house" Luke said looking at the rest of the boys "she lived just around the corner" Jai said as they all looked at the notes left on the cards by the flowers "we should maybe go" James said as he caught on to Skips facial expression. They all left the home and got back in to the car. "We shouldn't have left her" Beau said as he was driving "now you think that" Luke said leaning forward from his seat "now when i'm thinking straight she belonged to a family she was a human being i don't know how i would feel if it was you or Jai" Beau said, the four boys looked at each other surprised at what Beau just said. "Look we go out today and we act normal" Jai said "nothing out of the ordinary just do what we usually do " he continued to say and they all agreed. 

In the town the boys walked around and had a good laugh they had forgotten all about what had happened until they came across a small local business. In the window was a picture of the girl and candles surrounding, "guys do you not recognize her" James said staring in the window "yeah i do her name is Laura she was in my English class" Luke said as he looked up and seen the sign "and this is her parents shop i remember her telling me about it" everyone looked at Luke as if he had spoken another language "Luke do you know this girl personally" Jai asked him, Luke put his head down "yeah i do" Beau looked shocked he tried to speak but he couldn't "why didn't you tell us" Skip said annoyed "she was Sarah's best friend" Luke explained to them "and who is Sarah" Jai asked him curious as this was the first time that he had heard of any of this "she's this girl iv'e been talking too and Laura was her best friend" Luke walked away from the shop and Jai ran after him "Luke wait are you ok" Jai asked concerned for his brother "i had no idea it was her it was dark if i knew i would have stayed i would have gotten her help" Luke took out his phone and started typing "Luke what are you doing" Jai was trying to look at Luke's phone "i'm texting Sarah to see if she is ok" he said locking his phone and putting it in his pocket. 

The rest of the boys caught up with Luke and Jai "i need to go and see her" Luke looked at Jai and he gave an approving nod to him and Luke ran off "where is he going" Beau asked holding his hand out in the direction that Luke was running in "he's gone to see Sarah you know because we left her murdered best friend laying all night" Jai snapped at Beau and walked away "bro we didn't know it was her" Beau tried to explain Jai turned round looking angry "and that should matter, no it shouldn't we should have done what Luke said and phoned for help and then explained everything but you as usual you have to twist everyone and make them do what you say and now look Beau we're caught up in a murder investigation oh and we drove off with half the evidence" Beau looked at Jai he knew he was serious now and this was no longer something that could be forgotten. 

"Well what do you think we should do now" Beau asked "we need to find the person that seen us that night" Beau looked confused "i told him what i saw " James quickly said trying to cover up Jai's mindless outburst "and how do we do that we don't know who it was it could of been anyone trying to find them will be like catching air" Beau said starting to walk away. "I think i have an idea" Jai said running off leaving Beau, James and Skip standing.

Through the window of a shop James seen a figure standing but when he turned it was gone.
