One step forward Two steps back

The boys have learned that Laura's dead boyfriend Jack sent them the letter, things have progressed and are now out of hand can they do anything to help themselves or are they already in too deep to dig their way out. 

"Wait he was her boyfriend" Beau asked looking at Sarah "yeah the night that he ended his life was the night that Laura broke up with him after he hit her she just couldn't trust him or find it to forgive him the next morning she was told he was dead and given the letter" Katie looked at Sarah "i know this is a big ask and really rude but is there any way that you can get that letter" Sarah looked at everyone in the room "it's at my house Laura brought it round and never took it back home with her she said that she didn't want to see it because it reminded her of what happened and what she did" Katie got up off of the couch "come on Sarah we're going to your house" Sarah got up and left with Katie leaving the five boys alone. 

"This is crazy" James said "how is this even possible her dead boyfriend killing her" Beau was confused "wait why didn't you tell me about the letter" he asked the rest of them "you weren't awake and you weren't thinking straight you could have done anything" Jai answered him and Beau didn't reply. "Look who's back" Jai said looking out of the window to see the police coming back to the door. The knock came and Jai answered "can we come in" the officer stood tall "yeah sure" Jai let both of them in and followed them in to the living room "how can we help officer" James asked "on the night the girl was murdered where were you around 10 pm" the officers asked the boys "me, James, Luke and Daniel were up on the decks" Jai answered realizing that he didn't account for Beau "and where were you sir" the officer turned to Beau "i was with some girls drinking and dancing" he explained "are you aware that one of them was Laura the murdered girl" everyone looked at Beau "no i wasn't aware of that there was loads of them around" Beau said sounding worried "we found her camera in her bag that was tossed away from the place that she was found and when we turned it on there was multiple pictures of you and one of you and her" Beau looked at the officer "honestly i don't remember" Beau was fighting back the tears "to be fair he was pretty wasted he nearly threw up on my shoes i had to get him water" Jai said trying to defend his brother "and when was this" the officer asked Jai "i dunno maybe around 11" he answered him the officer looked at his partner "thank you for your time boys we will be in touch". 

Jai let the police officers out and then came bounding back in the room "you idiot you didn't think to tell us that she was with you that you were with her" Jai was angry at Beau "bro i can't remember there was loads of girls around me and taking pictures" Beau sounded concerned and scared "dude calm down he wouldn't lie" Jai turned to face Skip "he wouldn't lie aren't we all lying right now to the police" Jai shouted out "yeah we are but together we are" James said "he could be trying to save his own skin like he usually does, did you see her go anywhere" Jai shouted at Beau and he jumped "Jai calm down can't you see he's scared" Luke put his hand on Jai's shoulder for him to shrug it off "no he's not telling us something and i know he's not so spit it out Beau or i beat it out of you" Beau looked around at the boys staring at him "me and Laura went for a walk, we were drunk and having a laugh, we went and sat on the rocks you know just where we found her, we were looking down at the party and talking about the stars and then i kissed her, i heard something behind us but i didn't want to freak her out so i said we should go back but she wouldn't budge i pleaded with her but she told me to go and get her friend and i did she said she was going up there for her". Everyone looked at him in anger Daniel lunged for him "i'm going to kill you" Luke and James quickly jumped to hold him back "we should really just let him beat you" Luke said "you didn't think to tell us about this or the police Beau what the hell have you done" Jai screamed at him. 

The front door opened Katie and Sarah burst in "guys the print on your letter and the print on Laura's letter match"  the boys turned to face the girls "so what does that mean" Luke asked them "it means that Jack is alive and he killed Laura" Sarah looked at Luke "what are we going to do" as she started to cry Luke hugged her tight "don't worry we will find a way to fix this" he turned to look at Beau and shook his head "so what Jack mysteriously came back from the dead just to kill Laura" James asked Jai walked to the window "what if Jack never actually committed suicide" everyone looked at him confused "what Jai that doesn't even make sense his mum found him dead they buried him" Beau said standing up "shut up Beau i don't think you have a right to speak" Jai said sounding annoyed and pissed off "no i mean what if he faked killing himself to teach Laura a lesson but when he realized that she moved on and managed to cope went in to hiding and then picked his moment for the ultimate revenge" Luke looked at Sarah they both knew that made sense "but how did he manage to fake his death" Katie asked "babe that's something you girls can only figure out" Jai said taking her hand and looking at her.
