Sebastian's POV
Now's my chance!!
That's all I was thinking on the way to town. But that changed once I saw the massive beast. I had no clue what it was or what it wanted. So I did the first thing some human would do.
"What the Devil is that?!" I cried over the noise it was making.
"How should I know?! I thought you would! But it tried to eat me!!" He seemed like he was trying to stay calm but couldn't hold it in anymore towards the end. I could see him flail his arms a little.
"No I don't. But lets finish it off as quick as we can." I said. But something was off.
He was acting different, and it wasn't from fear. Even in the face of danger, he used to try and get to me, like piss me off. But he isn't. Its like hes not even there. Like its not actually him.
"Have any idea how to take it down?" He asked as we stood closer to the shadows. "I couldn't even try to fight it yet. I would have died. Fighting that thing alone is like suicide for someone who's not fully immortal." He looked over at me as he said that last part.
"What do you mean 'Fully immortal'?" I asked staring back into his eyes.
"I mean if you die today, you just go back to where you came from. I don't" Silence.
Before I could say anything else, a loud crash sounded from not to far away. The small pawn shop had crashed down to the ground and people looked out the window in fear someone had been hurt. No one seemed to notice us though, instead they all stared at the monster.
"Okay we need to make this fast and unnoticed. I think I have a plan." I then explained all I had and we took action.

I stood on one end of the street, behind the monster. Again no one saw. Grell stood on the other side, ready to make his first move. I watched as he somehow figured out how to make a loud noise sound from far away, distracting the people and scaring them into hiding.
The monster, however, looked and saw him. Just as we predicted. It roared with rage and bared its sharp teeth. Grell simply returned with a quick gesture and took off down the street. I waited for my cue and got ready to strike.
As Grell stopped in front of a building, I took my chance. I used all the power I could bring to myself and suddenly darkness surrounded it. It stopped short and stood paralyzed. Grell then ripped his death scythe out from... where ever... and sliced right through the creature, letting it meet its dead end.
But that didn't go as expected and it started to quake. The multiple new marks from the damage Grell did glowed. One of its claws swung out and struck Grell hard, sending him back into a building. The impact sent the walls and ceiling crumbling down on top. It worried me when I never saw him come out.
But looking back at the monster, it looked as if it exploded and there was no trace left except the damage it had done.
I then ran to the fallen building I saw the reaper crash into and searched through the rubbish. For a while I found nothing. Not until a torn piece of red fabric stood out among the bricks.
"Grell!" I called, hoping he could hear me.
I knew he landed somewhere around that spot and started to dig for him. Finally I found him.
His eyes were closed and he bled from multiple places. His new clothes were torn and bloody, a puddle quickly surrounding his body. It seemed like he broke a few bones. What scared me the most, I didn't think he was breathing. Then I remembered, he doesn't breath.
