When we got to school, Josh led me to the front office. The secretary had taken one look at me and her eyes widened immediately.

"Oh! Hi miss, it's nice to meet you. It's a pleasure! I'll call for the principal immediately. He handles all new students." She smiled before rushing off.

"What was that all about? Mandy never acts like that for new students." Josh mumbled.

"I'm not sure, but she seems sweet," I lied. I knew exactly why she acted like that. That's how everyone that recognizes me acts.

"Anyways, the principal will take it from here. Hopefully I'll see you at lunch. I usually sit out the back door by the tree if we don't see each other before then." Josh smiled before walking away. After he was gone I began to think of how I never noticed how he looked.

He had dark hair, and his eyes were like a mixture between hazel, green, and orange. I could tell they change color as they please. Josh is tall and lean. He's not particularly muscular, but he's skinny. He has this kind of "rebellious" type style.

My thought were interrupted by the principal coming out. "Hi there Princess Victoria! It's amazing to meet you," she smiled.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but please pardon the princess part. I'm kind of staying low," I smiled.

"Of course. Anyways, here's your schedule and agenda," she said as she handed me a timetable with my name in the top right corner.  I looked over it quickly, trying to see what classes I had. I looked at the agenda and decided I would use it. I usually wouldn't.

"I'll be showing you to your home room class, and I'll be assigning you a guide for the week when we get there," she said as she began leading me away.

I followed her down the hallways with white painted walls. She made a quick turn down a tan-walled hallway. She stopped at the third door on the left, knocking before using her key to get in.

"Sorry for the interruption Mrs. Denies, but you have a new student. Please assign her a guide for the week," she said before turning her attention to me. "This is your home room teacher Mrs. Denies. She will take it from here." She said before walking away.

I never learned her name.

"Hi. What's your name?"

"Victoria. Nice to meet you," I told her.

"JC, can you be Victoria's guide for this week?" The teacher said. I saw a girl who was about my height look up. She had brown eyes and sandy brown hair.

"Sure," she mumbled. I walked over and sat down next to her.

"Hi," I smiled. Why not try and make friends?

"Let me see your schedule," she held her hand out. I passed it to her as I frowned. She could've at least said hi back.

She looked over it before looking at me. She looked me up and down before mumbling, "figures."

"Figures? What's that supposed to mean?" I asked her.

"Let's just say, you dress for success, and your classes proves that success," she smiled. It was a sarcastic smile. She's clearly a bitch.

"Anyways, I'm going to show you all your classes after the bell rings after each class. We'll pass by the cafeteria on our way so I'll just... See you during lunch or something." She said. Then, the ball rang.

Thank god.

I followed her out the class after putting my agenda in my bag.

"Your first class is physics, so it'd be at the end of the science hall," JC mumbled to herself as she began to walk down the crowded hall. I followed her like a lost puppy.

"Check out the new girl," I heard a guy behind me say. "Fifty buck says she'll let me hit it."

"Fuck off, knob," I turned to look at him. "You're a horny, big and sweaty oaf." I mumbled before continuing to follow behind JC. She pointed to the lunchroom as we walked by it before we arrived at the physics room.

"Don't nerd out to hard," she mumbled before walking away. Bitch, I rolled my eyes before walking in and sitting down at the back.

This is going to be a long day.

••••••

Three class periods later, and it's finally lunch hour. I don't think I could be any hungrier honestly. I knew how to get to the cafeteria from earlier, and I'm glad I didn't forget. JC never came, and I'm glad I don't rely on her.

I went to the lunchroom, went through the line to get a salad- the pizza looked like it'd been stepped on and thrown around.

I remembered what Josh had said about meeting him during lunch, so I made my way to the back door. Seeing the tree, I made my way towards it. That's when I could hear and see JC mocking me.

"Oh look at me, I'm a fancy British girl with smarty pants classes and pretty dresses! I'm so rich I'm not sure which iPhone matches this dress! Oh my is it tea time already? Time for me to bake the crumpets!" She pranced around as she attempted to sound like me. "she's such a priss," She said before sitting down and rolling her eyes.

"At least this 'priss' isn't an ignorant twat with poorly died hair," I said as I sat down next to Josh.

"Looks like Victoria's got some wit to her," he laughed, trying to release the air of the violent tension.

"Oh whatever," JC snorted.

"You're all bark and no bite. You're a coward, and you wouldn't have dared said any of that if you knew I was around." I crossed my arms.

"You should eat your salad princess you look famished. I figured you'd get the salad, you look like the type."

"And you look like the type of whore that gets on her knees for just anyone." I said, dumping my salad onto her before grabbing my bag filled with textbooks and walking off.

The first day, and I'm already done with people's bullshit.

"Victoria!" I heard Josh call.

"What?!" I snapped as I turned to look up at him.

"I'm sorry about JC. She sees you as a threat. That's why she's so so cold towards you."

"I haven't even spoke more than three words to her, and she's judging me! That's not fair for her judge me when she doesn't even know me! I literally just wanted a friend, but clearly she has enough." I felt tears prick my eyes. I just want to go home.

"Please don't cry," Josh knitted his eyebrows together. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm JC's only friend and I left her to comfort you."

"I just want to go home," I shook my head before walking away from him.

"Tori, please. Don't take what she says to heart."

"That's not it. I just want to go home. I wish I never moved here," I mumbled.

"Let me walk with you at least."

"Why?" I asked him.

"Why what?"

"Why would you come after me and leave your friend? We only just met. Why do you wish to comfort me? What do you want from me?"

"I want you to feel welcome and like you have a friend." He said.

"Thanks, but honestly, I'd rather be by myself right now," I told him before walking away.

I'm over this.
