Eight- Dear Journal

Instead of doing homework, I decided to begin journaling. I wrote about my first full day in America and how the jet lag was insane. I was insanely tired as it was about two in the morning back home.

"Dear journal,

I'm exhausted! Today has been so strange, and being in a new country is so weird. I'm stressed with the mountains of homework from my first day of school, and from thinking of the boy one floor down from me. There's this girl who is just terrible. I'll spare you the details and her name.

I've only been here a day and it's felt like years. Greyson, whom is usually the light in all my dark days, has seemed to already be fading from my memory. Especially with Josh-" I quietly cursed to myself as I promise myself I wouldn't mention his name in my journal in case it ever got out. It wouldn't have been a problem if I wasn't writing in pen. I just proceeded as was.

"Though our initial encounter was a little rocky, he quickly proved to be the exact opposite of what I thought he was. He's sweet, and he made me feel welcome on my first day. He even ditched that dreadful friend of his to comfort me. We actually almost kissed today.

I'm not sure if it was just because he was comforting to me, or if it's because he actually likes me. I'm not sure of anything. I'll spare you the rest of the boring little details, and get to my homework. 

Until tomorrow,
Princess Victoria."

I signed with my best signature, and closed the journal, hiding it in my backpack in between the rest of my notebooks. My mum will snoop and read it without a second thought. As I had written, I proceed to do the pounds of homework I was assigned and almost instantly fell asleep when I laid down on my bed.

(A/N: hi guys!! Long time no see!!! Would you guys prefer short and frequent updates, or would you prefer to have long and slightly less frequent updates? Let me know, otherwise I'll probably just stick with the shorter updates as I will for sure be back to writing this book. I'm really working on getting a schedule and not leaving my stories hanging, however I am a student before all else and I do have a job and often forget I have this account. With school + extra curricular's and having a job, sometimes Wattpad does not seem to be a priority to me. Sorry for that, but I am working on incorporating it into my schedule as I do love to write. Thanks for taking the time to read all this, and have a great day / night! And don't forget to let me know which style of updates you'd prefer (short + frequent(ish) or long + less frequent)!
