In Love With... Parsen Crater

Chapter 1

   I woke up to the sound of thunder. "Must be the tropical storm I heard about on the news." I thought to myself. I looked at my phone to check the time. "6:00 am." I groaned getting out of bed. I went to my closet to decide what I was going to wear today. I decided to wear a sweater with a pair of black leggings.After I got dressed, I went to the bathroom to start my morning routine.
  
   I left the bathroom at 6:30 and went downstairs to make some breakfast. I settled on a frozen waffle. I scrolled through my Instagram feed while I was waiting for the toaster to cook my food. My waffle popped up letting me know it was done. I ate my breakfast then grabbed my backpack and keys and went to my car to go drive to school.

   When I pulled up to the school the feeling that break was over finally settled in and made me sad for a second. I parked my car in the designated senior parking then went to my first period class. The tardy bell rings at 7:00 am so right after I sat down at my desk it rang.

   This period was my favorite. It was Advanced Writing with Mrs. Cole. "Welcome back from your break, everybody." Mrs. Cole said standing up from her desk. She walked to the front of the classroom. "I hope you all had time to rest because now we are going to be working harder than ever preparing for our midterms." A few students groaned.

   Mrs. Cole's eyes shifted to the back of the room. "That reminds me." She said in a tone that was peppy yet boring at the exact same time. "I would like to introduce our new student, Parsen Crater."
