A few heads turned back to see our new student. At first it seemed unreal that Parsen transferred to this school. My school. My heart was practically beating out of my chest. Then I realized that our new student didn't have to be the Parsen that I knew. There was probably another Parsen Crater in the world
"I'm just being paranoid.." I assured myself quietly. Of course I couldn't be sure that it wasn't him until I turned around to see for myself. I forced myself to turn around in my chair. That's when I saw it. Him. It was the Parsen Crater that I grew up with. The Parsen Crater that I was best friends with. The Parsen Crater that I had a huge crush on since kindergarten.
I realized that I had been staring too long. Parsen looked me straight in the eyes. "Oh no. Oh no." I panicked in my head. Instead of turning away he smirked at me then winked. I turned away so I didn't have to look at his smug face any longer. He was enjoying the attention I was giving him. This bothered me for some reason.
This wasn't the Parsen that I was friends with. He evolved to be some kind of jerk. Maybe I was jumping to conclusions. I should just wait until I get a chance to talk to him.
Wait, no. It would be best for me to just act like I don't know him. It would be better than risking the chance of embarrassing myself if he doesn't remember me.
Mrs. Cole started teaching and i decided to just ignore the Parsen Crater situation for now. An hour later the bell rang signaling that it was time for me to go to p.e..
I walked out of Mrs. Cole's classroom and was headed to the gym. Then out of nowhere I heard someone shouting my name. I kept walking in case that person wasn't calling me. "Gracie! Wait!" I heard again. This time I turned around to see Parsen Crater running down the hallway after me.
I was in utter shock to say the least. I stood dead in my tracks as Parsen approached me. "Um yes?" I brought myself to say. Parsen looked me dead in the eye then said "Can I help you" I didn't know how to respond. "Um I guess not." I said in a soft tone. Parsen rolled his eyes and walked away. Making sure to have his shoulder hit me when he walked past me.
"What was that about?" I thought to myself. I definitely was right when I assumed he was a jerk. Then again it might not have been him calling my name. Someone else could have called my and he just happened to be running down the hallway. I'll just forget about it.
The rest of the day flew by and before I knew it, it was 1:30. Time to leave and go home. I walked out to the senior parking lot to find Parsen Crater at leaning against my car.
This is insane. What's his issue? "Can I help you?" I barked at Parsen. Where did that come from? "Yeah I need a ride." Said Parsen like it wasn't a big deal. "Why should I give you a ride? We don't even know each other. So go screw yourself." Parsen made a face that would only make me believe he was hurt if I was stupid.
Before thinking I got into my car leaving Parsen alone outside my car. I didn't see him so I assumed he left. I put my car in reverse then started pulling out of the parking spot. I was in a hurry to get home so I didn't check my mirror. Bad choice.
Something hit the back of the car. I ignored it because I thought it was probably just a textbook. When my car finished driving over the lump I realized I made a horrible mistake. I just ran over Parsen Crater.
