Serena's P.O.V.

We had just landed in New York, tomorrow we would be meeting with school. But as soon as we landed Gena wanted us to come talk with her. It was either because we have been gone for longer than a week or because something happened. Durante had came with us by himself. He drove us to work in silence and Renata just looked out the window. I knew something was going on but I chose to ignore it. She and I hopped out of the Tahoe at the same time walking towards the clubs entrance. "I'll be back to pick you both in a bit, I have to pick up the other body guard flying in." Rena nodded waving bye to Dura as I walked inside. Gena was sitting at the bar doing some paper work. "Hi Gen-" she came up running towards us hugging us tightly. "I've missed the both of you so much, what's going on?" I put my hand on the back of my neck and sighed. "Let's go to your office, it's a lot." Gena nodded grabbing her paperwork. Once Rena and I had told Gena everything it really didn't surprise her at all. "Well it did seem like you were a sort of princess when you both came here Serena. Are you going to be working for me still?" I smiled at her, "better. Well bring in customers for you while we're gone." Gena smirked back at me, "great. Give me a call when you've figured all of that out and keep me in touch girls." Renata smiled, "will do. We'll call before we leave New York again." Gena nodded getting back to her paperwork. We walked back to the hotel because Dura wasn't waiting for us. We stopped to get some lunch and as we were leaving my eyes met with another's. The same emerald eyes that had made my heart stop in place. As I made my way through the crowd Ezra's face went from serious to loving. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and his familiar scent drifted into my nose. Making me feel at home and safe, "hello mia cara how have you been?" I snuggled my face into his chest. "I've been fine, lonely without being around you. Everything going fine with you?" He nodded still hugging me, "sí. I have missed you too, let's get dinner tonight." I shook my head, "how about we make dinner together and hangout." He kissed the top of my head, "that's fine. Durante and I have to meet someone before then. Chill out the rest of the day, I'll see you soon." I nodded getting into the black Tahoe and got dropped back off at the hotel. Ezra rolled down his window as I walked past stopping. "Here's my card, you can go grocery shopping. Wait until we send some more bodyguards." I nodded again kissing his cheek, "be careful." He nodded taking off down the busy New York afternoon road. Rena and I walked inside the hotel suitcases in tow. I pushed the floor we were supposed to be on. As I did I saw the familiar light brown hair of Kaiser Reed. I ran out of the elevator to my new friend. He hugged me as soon as I reached him, "I didn't think I was going to see you for awhile longer. Did you just get here?" I nodded, "yes Renata and I are staying here while we do some things then head back to Italy. I'll come see you in a bit, here's my number." I wrote it on a piece of paper sticking it in his blazer pocket. "Just text me before you head to the room. Bye!" I ran back towards the elevator and got on. Once Rena and I made it back into our room I changed into some sweats and laid in my bed. Closing my eyes and felt the darkness take me.

A few hours later I woke up from my nap with the sun setting. I pulled on my sweatshirt that said NYU and walked into the kitchen. Renata was reading a book sipping tea, "are you ready to go grocery shopping with me?" Rena nodded pulling on her NYU sweatshirt also. I grabbed Ezra's card and went to the elevator. When the doors opened Kaiser was sitting at the front desk. I went over to the desk and rung the small bell. "Stop it, I was coming with you before you even asked." He stood up sliding on his pea coat and shoving his cell phone into his pocket. We walked to the deli around the corner getting chicken, thin noodles, tomatoes, and anything else we could think of. As we got to the register I tried giving the girl my card but she shook her head. "Your friend already paid for it, have a good day!" I grabbed the few bags we had and walked outside to meet Kaiser smoking a cigarette. I walked past him Rena right behind me. As we came upon the hotel I handed my bags to Renata and told her to go to the elevator. She nodded taking them, "why did you pay for those groceries? I had the money to-" Kaiser shook his head, "I did it because I wanted to. Don't get defensive about someone doing a nice thing for you. I will see you tomorrow, I have to go home." I watched him as he walked away from me, the silhouette of him disappearing into the cold night. I shook my head and go on the elevator helping Rena into the room. We prepared the food and once we had cooked the noodles the chicken was next. As the chicken was done cooking the door opened to reveal Durante and Ezra. They both sat at the island she had set two drinking glasses in front of them with some bourbon inside. Ezra gulped his down making me believe something went wrong at their meeting. Once we all had eaten dinner I went to the bathroom to take a long shower. The hot water running down my body washed off the worries of today. As I opened my eyes I heard the door open. "I'm just getting some clothes to change into." I took a deep breath opening the shower door. I stood there for a moment before Ezra turned around. As his eyes met mine, his eyes were taken over by lust. He shook his head wrapping a towel around my torso. "I-I can't... I'm sorry..." he rushed out of the bathroom and into his room. I sighed going into my room letting sleep take me over once again.
