Milan

Serena's P.O.V.

The day after Christmas Eve, we all packed up and headed to Milan. There was an apartment building in the city that the boys had been renting out of. It had enough rooms for all of us not to feel cramped in the space. As we pulled up to the apartment building it seemed bigger to me than any of the other buildings I had lived in New York. I got out just staring at it while Ezra got our bags. I grabbed my duffle bag and my purse then walked in behind him. "Were on the 5th floor, good thing we have an elevator." I nodded smiling at him as we entered what seemed like the ground floor. There wasn't anyone behind a desk but there were keypads before we stepped inside that let us in. There was a flight of stairs to my left and an elevator on my right.  We got on the elevator and Ezra pushed 5. When the doors opened a beautiful living room appeared in front of me. Then a hallway that went past that. "Come, I'll show you your room." I frowned, "are we not sleeping together here either?" Rogan smirked, "here's your room. My room is across the hallway, if I slept with you just sleeping and Matteo found out he would kill me." I nodded walking farther into my room, "I suppose your right. Wouldn't want Uncle to think we're together or anything." Ezra shook his head, "it's not like that. It's just really complicated right now bella. Once you've gotten used to everything we can tell your uncle. Until then, just relax while your here. I have to go to some meetings with Cris and the rest of the guys. Ludo and Valer will be here if you need anything, get some rest." Ezra kissed my forehead leaving my skin burning where his lips touched.

A month later...

After I took a few hour nap it was about lunch time. I decided I would unpack some of my clothes before I went to find some food. As I walked out of my room I texted Renata and went to the elevator. As I got to the 1st floor Ludo and Valer were cooking. I smirked, "whatcha cooking Lu? I'm starved." Ludo turned to make eye contact with me as Valer looked at his phone contently. "I was just cooking some breakfast for all of us." Valer raised his hand sticking his phone in his sweat pant pocket and sticking an ear bud in his ear. "I'm going to run for a bit, don't cook me anything." Valer got up walking towards the stairs then I heard footsteps. "He's pretty weird isn't he?" Ludo shook his head, "we've just been through a lot with family. So he doesn't like getting close to people he thinks will leave eventually. He's always been like that ever since we were little, here." Ludo set a plate full of food in front of me. "The rest of us are hoping you'll stay a long time. Ezra and Cristiano should be back around 7:30. Cristiano said he would talk to you about the hotels a bit more. Didn't you get a bachelors in business?" I nodded shoveling food in my mouth, "I was going for my masters before I met you all. But Cristiano said I've picked up quickly on a lot recently. So I'm confident he'll let me go to one of the hotels soon to see it." Ludo smiled at me, "I feel like he will soon too. What do you want to do while were waiting on them to get back?" I shrugged, "a movie sounds perfect to me since it's kind of gloomy outside." Ludo nodded, "I'll find a movie go into the living room. I think Renata is already in there," Ludo walked off back down the hallway and I made my way to the living room. It was a decent sized living room with a black sectional with pillows all over it. I sat down beside Renata cuddling with her. "Wanna braid my hair?" She nodded taking it into sections as Ludo came back with a stack of DVDs. He popped one in and Rena played with my hair. Sometime into the 5th or 6th movie I fell asleep. When I woke up I noticed Ludos voice was in the kitchen. "It really has been a long time Rena, I haven't seen either one of you in years." Ludo said as he sighed, "I agree. Oh it's almost time for the guys to get back." Rena said as she walked back towards the living room. "I'm going to go look for Valer go check on Serena and I'll call when dinner is ready." I was really confused now about this whole thing. Who was I? I turned up the tv a bit pretending to be asleep. "Hey Sere, wake up. Ezra should be back any minute." I sat up stretching looking at Renata, "okay let's watch another movie until they get back." Renata nodded getting up to put a movie in the DVD player. I sat there for a moment before I heard a familiar voice. "Ciao, where are the girls?" Ludo answered quickly as he exited the kitchen to the rooms. Raphael came into the living room and sat beside me. "Hey Serena, have you gotten settled in yet?" I nodded slowly, "it's not hard to get settled into here. Just getting used to all of your schedules." He nodded, "we are quite busy around here. Have you learned everything with the hotel?" I nodded again, "I think I have since I've been with you all at least 2 months now. School helped me a lot also," Durante smiled at me, "I would think so. Hello beautiful, how was your day?" Renata laid beside Durante, "oh you know the usual. Just chilled and watched movies all day. Yours?" I got up stretching, "I'm going to go to the bathroom. Be back," they didn't pay any attention to me as I walked into the kitchen to see Cris and Ezra talking to Ludo and Valer as Ludo cooked. Ludo saw me and smiled, "it'll be ready in about 30 minutes if you just want to chill." I nodded smiling at him, "just going to the bathroom real quick." I walked quickly and came back to see the boys still in the same spots as they were when I left. "Um... is something going on? You all look too serious for dinner." Ezra looked at Cristiano and he sighed, "father wants to meet you tomorrow to discuss you working a the hotel a few days a week and be apart of some of the meetings." I was happy uncle thought I was ready for it. I guess Cristiano put in a good word for me. "Thanks Cris, I'm excited to help." He smiled back at me pulling me into a tight hug. "Good cause I think your ready for it." Ludo took a few glasses to the large kitchen table. "Dinners ready!"

The following day...

I sighed as I got up to go to a meeting with Cristiano and Ezra. I put on a long tan pencil skirt with white turtle neck and matching tan blazer. I slipped on my nude heels then closed my door. I walked down the stairs to be met by Cristiano. "Come on, Ezra went ahead to the meeting. I didn't need to be there this morning since I'm going with you to speak with father." I nodded taking his hand as we got into the Tahoe. It didn't take us long to get to the hotel. It looked more expensive than I had imagined, he pulled me along as we got inside and took an elevator. People were everywhere about in the lobby, standing at the front desk with suitcases and everything alike. The loud ding took me out of my day dream as we entered. We reached the pent house to be met by body guards. Cristiano opened the door and I walked in front of him seeing my uncle at a round table filled with at least twenty rolling chairs. I sat down beside uncle and looked at him. "Hello my sweet niece, the rest of the chairmen should be coming soon. How are you settling in?" I smiled at Uncle as Cristiano sat beside me, "everything is going good uncle. Thank you for everything." He shook his head, "your family. Don't worry about it." I heard the voices of men coming down the hallway then them pouring into the room. They all kept talking about how much revenue the hotels were getting, how much business, and finally about me. "Now everyone I'm sure you are all wondering who this lovely lady is beside my son. Everyone, this is Serena Salvatore she will be working here to get used to the business before she fully takes over. Cristiano and Serena will be handling everything at this branch until I say otherwise. Serena meet your board of advisors," I looked at each one of the men. Cristiano cleared his throat, "I want you all to treat my cousin with the same respect that you've given my father and I." The men surrounding the table all nodded, "now you'll be learning the business side of everything and then so forth. Today's your first day and you'll be following Mr. Kaiser Reed around. He's from our New York hotel branch, I hope you two get along while your here. I'm going to work on some paperwork while we're here for a bit. I'll see you at lunch," Cristiano kissed my cheek as Mr. Reed walked with me outside of the room. "I've heard from Mr. Stefano that your enrolled in business at New York State?" I nodded walking into the elevator with him. "I am in my senior year." He smiled, "then I suppose all this won't look that new right?" I laughed a bit then was disrupted by the ding signaling for us to get off. I followed him back into the lobby behind the front desk. "Yes, I'm pretty sure I've seen most of everything. If I haven't then I've worked most of the hotel parts." Mr. Reed nodded, "That's good to hear Mrs. Salvatore. Let me get you some things and I will be right back." I sighed as I realized what I've actually gotten myself into.
