It had been a celebration like none he had ever experienced. Hundreds of spilled drinks and half eaten appetizers had found their spot on the already occupied floor of unconscious bodies. The drunken feast had quickly become a snooze fest.
Von and the other Jedi were the only ones still standing. Having drank only two Corellian ales he had already surpassed his old record and dared not push his luck. He realized by looking around there wasn't much room left for him on the floor.
He was however impressed by the variety of drinks the underground cantina offered. For such a hidden location it seemed to have everything you would need for a nice and relaxing getaway.
Teg and Becca had their fair share of blue milk and jawa cakes. Both sat next to each other bloated and lazy. They had enjoyed themselves and had used the force to help nauseate the helpless drunks. Spinning them around vigorously against their will was not the Jedi way, but definitely entertaining.
Von knew their use of the force was wrong, but it helped keep their mind off things and he actually found it to be quite amusing himself. He didn't dare partake in the action. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but laugh at the outcome. The smell in the room had taken its toll and forced them out of the cantina. Von hoped those inside still sleeping wouldn't mind the smell once they woke up.
Becca pinched her nose as she exited the cantina.
"Maybe we took that too far." She said giggling.
"Nah it was worth it." Teg said giving her a high five.
Von smiled at both young Jedi. He was glad they were finally safe and out of danger. They had grown closer in their short time together, which would be the best thing for them to do before heading off to their new home on Nar Shaddaa. Gwen stood alone outside the cantina with a drink still in his hand.
"Order the wrong drink?" Von asked staring at the full glass Gwen held untouched by his dry lips.
"It's actually my favorite, but I just can't seem to take a sip." Gwen said staring out the view glass towards the rocky terrain outside.
"Maybe it's the atmosphere. I suppose after working above ground for so long, being buried so far beneath it would have some side effects. Just give it some time Gwen I know this change will be good. This factory was built out of secrecy so rest assured no one knows you're here. Which reminds me where's Po and Neg?" Von asked realizing the Neimoidian's were nowhere to be seen.
"Oh don't worry we invited them down here, but they insisted in staying hidden within the control rooms. They are free to leave whenever they'd like. I was surprised to hear them say they actually want to be a part of my crew."
Becca and Teg kept themselves occupied by practicing their force powers. Each trying to pick up the most items all at once using only the force. Von looked back and smiled at the sight of his pupils enjoying themselves.
"Well at least you've come to terms with their atrocities. As for us I think it's time we leave my friend. Nar Shaddaa awaits our arrival and I wouldn't want to go any later. Who knows how long the offer will stay on the table."
"Don't worry Master Von Zurga will honor his proposal with genuine hospitality. I could definitely use the help of Jedi like yourselves around here, but I understand the circumstance. If there's ever anything you need Von you know where to find me." Said Gwen gulping the rest of his drink. "Looks like your right, I will get used to this place. I just need the right company. Thanks for everything I'm sure we will see each other soon."
