School…hum…what can I say that would describe my school. Well, JT Elder High is just like any high school, it has it’s preps, skaters, Goths, emos, jocks, nerds, and of course loners. Can you guess which one I fit into? If you guessed loners then you are correct. I like keeping to myself and I really don’t like conversations. I try my best to have people not talk to me but I guess with my good looks how can you NOT talk to me? I got to school 15 minutes early so I can avoid conversation with anybody. My mind keeps going back to Kegan. He started drinking a few weeks ago and I don’t mean casual drinking, I mean heavy drinking. I came down for breakfast only to find him drinking a beer. I’m surprised no one at school noticed the smell. I’m starting to worry about him.

“HEY CONNOR!!!!” Candayce screams. OMG!! I did not even see her skinny ass coming. I usually notice her before she notices me and I’ll hide in the bathroom. I guess there’s not hiding now.

“Hi CANDAYCE!!” I scream loudly to show her how it feels. Of course she takes no notice.

“OMG!! Did you hear about Kegan?!” Candayce whisper yells. I don’t see why she’s doing that. People can still hear her. She gets my attention though by just saying his name.

“What happened? Is he okay?? TELL ME WOMAN!!!” I yell the last part getting curious glances from the people around us.

Candayce sends me a weird look. “He’s okay, take a chill pill bill.”

Take a chill pill bill?? Who in the hell says that?!  She speaks again before I can open my mouth to question her more about Kegan.

“Kegan asked Ally out and it looks like they are going out now.” She says excitedly. I forgot to mention that she is a big Ally fan. I’m guess she has a crush. I feel my heart drop as I register the bomb she just dropped on me. Kegan is dating Ally. This means I would have to see them together at school and possibly at home. How much heartache can I take before I break?

“That’s great.” I say numbly. I just walk off. I don’t bother saying goodbye and since I’m in a daze I really don’t see where I’m going. I end up bumping into none other than Embry the star quarterback and student body president. I stumble back and I was prepared to fall but something stopped me. Embry grabbed my arms and steadied me.

“Are you okay bro?” Embry asked looking concerned. Concerned? Why in the hell is he concerned about what happened to a nobody like me?

“Yea, I’m straight.” I mumbled. I shrug out of his hold and start to go around him but Embry grabs my arm.

“You’re straight? That’s a shame. “ He whispers leaning towards my ear. “I’d like to get to know you a little better.” He kisses my neck and walks away. When I finally come to I’m looking into the eyes of a very pissed off Kegan.
