More To Me

I reach out desperately for the building in front of me, barely grasping onto the edge of the roof. The dämn building is only one story tall, and the apartments across from it are four stories tall. That's where I need to get to. Currently, I am in a very dangerous situation. If I were to fall, and land the wrong way, especially since there is pavement, I have a very high chance of dying. Great. Not to mention I'm literally hanging by a hand. I really underestimated this. Double great.
I look down at the ground below me, which seems so much farther away than it really is. If I fall and land right I can be fine, maybe break a bone or two but I'll be fine. I look back up at the roof, and try to pull myself up enough with my left arm so that I can grab onto the edge with my left arm. After several failed attempts I realize my only option is to fall. I look down at the cement, and back up at my hand, as I close my eyes and let go. WHAT THE HËLL ARE YOU DOING?
I feel my right arm snap. I scream out in pain. I'm still alive.
Writhing on the concrete, feeling blood drip from my nose as my vision starts to blur, I realize I hit my head. I try to silence my screams so I don't attract any walkers, then everything goes black.

                    ~                           ~

All I hear is a loud thud and screaming. I'm instantly on my feet, and everyone else in the room slowly stands up. I run over to the window and peer through the blinds.
"What is it, Daryl?" One of the older women ask.
"Some girl, I gotta go help her. She fell-"
"From where?" The younger boy was eager to help as well.
"Who the hēll knows. Stay here. I'll be right back." I turn to the teen. "You stay here and protect everyone." I say as I had him a handgun. "Keep watch, and stay hidden." I turn and grab my crossbow, and slide out the door.
Stupid girl. It's bad enough we are trapped in here, couldn't she see all the walkers around town? Why the hêll did she come in here.
I enter the pitch black hallway that leads to the stairs. Some of the other rooms in the apartment building are boarded up, holding the dead in with them. A bunch of druggies, that's all they were, and most of 'em ended up killing themselves.
My brother Merle and I were moving around, and he needed to pick up his shipment. This is where he got his shït from, and this is where we were when the shīt hit the fan.
One of the doors infront of me bust open, revealing light, and a few walkers. I pull an arrow out, load it onto my bow, and pull the trigger. Headshot. The first walker falls to the ground, and I repeat the same technique for the next two. Then I gather the arrows from the corpses.
Now that I have light I can see what I'm doing, I head for the stairs to my right, and go down. The second floor was the most infested, lucky for me, they don't climb stairs, so choosing the fourth floor was a good idea. I'll have to say something to Merle. That dumbåss sometimes has good ideas.
I get to the first floor, and head out the door. No walkers were down here. That's weird.
I lift my crossbow as I approach the body of the girl, suspecting her to be dead. There is blood coming from her mouth and nose, and her right arm is starting to turn black and blue.
"Hey! Are you okay?" I shout from a safe enough distance that if she were to come back I'd be able to take her out without making a mess.
The girl takes a short breath and wheezes. She opens her eyes and screams. In a second she is almost lifeless again.
I slowly walk over to her, and lower my crossbow, she hasn't been bit or scratched. She just fell. If she was ill put her out.
I scoop up her limp body, and turn around to see Merle pull up next to the apartments in his pickup truck. He gets out of the truck and I whistle to him.
"This girl fell, I don't know where from, but we gotta help her. She'll die." Is all I say but suprisingly my asshøle of a brother is helping me get her safely up the stairs and back to the room.
