Your POV
As Kagome and I were walking home from school, she turned to me and asked, "Hey (Y/n) wanna come over?" I looked at her and said, " Sure, but do you mean, like, a sleepover?"
"Yeah!" Kagome replied. We smiled at each other and kept walking.
We went to my house first, where I lived alone. My mother died when I was little from cancer. When I was about eleven, my father left me. I was used to it, I mean, I was able to cook, clean, and do anything necessary.
I walked inside, grabbed a bag, and went upstairs to get my belongings. When I was ready, we walked to her home. She lived in a shrine. When we walked in, everyone greeted each other, and soon we all sat down to eat.
~Time Skip~
After dinner, we went to grab our belongings. While I was gathering my things, Kagome had already made her way outside. So, I decided to jump out of the window to get there quicker. When I arrived at the location where Kagome was, the place looked like a well house, and it was!
She had mentioned this land before, where demons and undisturbed nature reigned. It was the Feudal Era. This information felt normal to me, as for some odd reason, I had been gifted with the agility and abilities of a nine-tailed fox. This new world, however, might keep me on my toes. Kagome grabbed my hand as we leapt into the well.
I looked over to see that Kagome had landed on her butt, standing next to her as I had somehow landed on my feet. Knowing that Kagome was a bit clumsy, I offered her the chance to get on my back so that I could easily help her out of the well. She took the offer and climbed on, losing my balance ever so slightly as she tried to readjust her weight on my back. I fixed my stance and made one big leap up the well, grasping onto the edge so we wouldn't fall back down.
Kagome's POV
It's hard for me to remember when (Y/n) told me about their half-demon abilities. I didn't believe them at first, but after finding myself in the Feudal Era, it became increasingly difficult not to believe in demons or other magical energies that exist in this world and the next. I wasn't scared; in fact, I felt lucky enough to have such a friend who could relate to the things I had witnessed. The idea of demons and magic no longer surprises me.
Your POV
After we emerged from the well, I bent my knees so Kagome could slide off my back with ease. The hairs on my arms rose as the scent of another half-breed demon filled my nose. I looked at the jewel embedded in my arm and called out both of my katanas. Kagome was moving around behind me, startled by the appearance of my weapons.
When the half-breed came up, he started yelling at Kagome, continuously asking where she was and why she was late. I let out a low growl, but then I heard Kagome say, " Sit, boy!!!" I looked in surprise as he was slammed to the ground.
