General Leia Organa joined the crew that was on hand to welcome the small band of soldiers from Dathomir. She was happy that all the aircraft was present and accounted for. But her heart dropped, when she could sense Daen's sadness as he made his way toward her.
"Daen," she said softly "Is she?"
He shook his head miserably. "She's alive....or at least she was when I flew away."
"Was she hurt?" Leia asked.
"She was shot....she must have...she'd managed to run through the fire unharmed but something seemed to break the focus....she was hit in the leg and then surrounded by soldiers..." Daen trailed off but read the pleading in the Princess's' eyes. "Ren himself was there to arrest her."
"Ben," she whispered hoarsely. "Did you see...his face?"
Daen shook his head miserably "No. He had his mask on."
Leia nodded "Well then the plan has been put into place."
"What if he kills her?" Daen asked miserably "It'll be my fault. I shouldn't have left her."
"He won't kill her," Leia assured him. "They were friends...."
"You can't possibly know that after all this time. He's not the same boy he was.. He's a killer," Daen said loudly.
Tears formed in the corners of her eyes. "There is good in him. I know it. It just has to be brought out. Someone has to reach in there and pull it out."
"That's a big gamble to play with someone else's life," he countered.
"Someone has to try," she insisted.
"And you think that person is Lux?" he asked incredulously.
"She loves him." Leia said assuredly. "And he loves her."
Daen frowned "Oh yeah? Well he's not the only one." And with that, he stormed off leaving Princess Leia alone to consider his words.
"Hey, your Highness," Poe Dameron's voice broke into her thoughts. "Did Lux make it back?"

"Kylo Ren," the annoyed hologram looked down on him in the dark room.
"Supreme leader," Ren knelt before his master.
"You know why I've called you here, correct?" Snoke asked.
"I believe so," Ren said pitifully as he stood
"The girl..."
"Is an asset," Ren spoke quickly.
"An asset?" Snoke spat angrily "When is a rebel ever an asset!"
"When she is the daughter of the Galactic Senator from Naboo," Ren said more confident than he felt.
"Psshh, a senator's daughter...."
"And she is strong with the Force. Skywalker wanted to train her but her father was against it."
"So?"
"I can train her. Teach her. And together we can overthrow and infiltrate the senate and the rebellion," Ren explained.
"And you think you have that much power over her?"
"I can," Ren said confidently.
"And if you cannot?" Snoke sneered.
"I'll kill her."

When Lux came to, the room was dark. She didn't know long she'd been lying on the floor but she had to assume it was night. She reached down to her leg to feel her wound. It was tender to the barest touch and the fabric that surrounded it was damp with blood, stuck to her useless leg. She tried to bandage the wound by tearing the sleeve off her shirt. It was a poor effort but it would have to do. And for the first time since her capture she cried. She didn't really know why she was crying; she had suffered more serious injuries before without making such a fuss. Still, it felt good to let her emotions flow. She would need to be able to reign them in again the next time she saw Kylo Ren.
