Chapter 13

There was nothing inside of the box but wrapping, I took all of the wrapping and there was just a piece of paper. I opened the folded sheet of paper and inside was a note with a phone number. Under it said ,' Call me when it's needed.'

I smiled as Blake saw me in the corner of his eye while driving. He turned over to the corner as I got off,"Thanks." I told him as he smiled. "Call me when you need it." He signaled after I left but I still saw it as I nodded.

It was a Saturday, the day that I promised to babysit Ben while working at La Tea. I can already tell it's a bad idea.

"Alex my dad told me to stay with you." It was Ben when I opened the door, he had his blue jeans, Aqua colored t-shirt with the words 'pug life' with a pug on it.

"I'm going to the tea shop today so your going with me." I explained as he nodded in approval to me. Ben was just 3 years old and is alike to Ellen except he is 3 while she is 2. I held his hand to keep him close to me and then I decided why don't I just carry him? So I did.

We walk all the way to the shop as I let him down on the floor. "You alright?" I asked him concerned as he nodded. He glanced at everyone when he passed then as he grinned. He was a curious kid who wants to see every corner of the world, like when I was little.

We finally got to La Tea, and Ben pulled the door nob and opened the door for me. I walked in then turned to look at him,"Thank you Ben." I smiled as his face lit up smiling at me.

"Don't we have another gentlemen in the shop." It was Joe my boss and the owner of the shop, he picked up Ben holding him up by his arm. Ben grabs onto Joe's neck having a tight grip so that he wouldn't fall.

"He's so cute!" It was Madison, she was Joe's girlfriend but she also worked here with us. Ben's face blushed when Madison said hi to him then Joe lets Ben down to the floor. Ben immediately runs to me and holds onto my finger.

"This is Joe and Madison." I explained to Ben as he nods and says hi to them both. "Sorry do you mind if he just sits here while I work?" I asked Joe, but of course Joe couldn't say no to me and Madison begging. "Fine, I don't really mind but make sure he doesn't mess anything up." Joe stated.

I sit Ben in a chair near the cash register with a few cookie just in case. "Okay Ben we have a mission today." He pumped up his little fist determined.

"I need you to finish coloring all of these picture." I gave him a pack of canyon and 5 sheets of coloring paper as he nodded. He immediately started to color the pictures of Batman, he's just too adorable for me.

Ding! The bell signaled that a customer had arrived, I turn to look at who it was. It was Annalise, Jake, Emma, Kevin, and Edwin. Why was Edwin here? Or Emma and Kevin?

They sat at a big table that we only had for special occasions. "Green Tea please!" Annalise yelled excitedly inside the quiet shop and classical music in the background. Everyone else didn't care so they all took a cup of Green Tea.

I looked over at the table filled with small talks and smiling faces. I got them the tea in small white cup and served them. I walked back to check on Ben instead he wasn't there!
