Chapter 33

Edwin pulled me aside from the table

"Annalise doesn't officially have a house that's why she lives with Mason and sometimes me. But mostly she stays over at Jake's house." Edwin explained to me but I still had a bunch of questions in my head.

"Why does she stay over at other people's houses?" I asked him then his expression changed.

"Because her parents are dead and she doesn't have anything left." He stated as my jaws opened and dropped to the floor.

"Oh..." I was speechless and my mouth couldn't produce any sound or words anymore.

I felt sad and I felt dumb at the same time. We finished cleaning up the table as me and Edwin started to do our project together. We both had a few complex agreements but soon we came together like a straight white line.

Annalise's Point of View

I drove over to Jake's house since I felt weird being at Edwin's house because Alex was there. I mean I hope it's not just me noticing the way that they look at each other. It was the same way I looked at Jake.

I opened the little apartment door that had a name tag on the door that read : Jake Evergreen. I opened the door that stood Jake with clothes on and a bundle of wet hair. "Hey." I told him as he said the same thing back.

I walked to him and gave him a hug as his wet hair fell on top of my head. "Did you just take a shower?" I asked him looked up to him since he was 6"4 and I was just 5"4.

"Yeah, I'm about to cook some lasagne. You want some?" He asked me with a smile as I agreed to his suggestion and I followed him into the small oven that he had.

On top of the over was a timer that said that there was just 2 minutes left. He placed him hand on to the counter near the over as he puts on some mittens.

I hugged him from his back as he turns around and kiss me on the lips. I loved when he did that, it felt like I could die. He let go of the kiss gently making me want to kiss him again.

Beep, beep! The timer ended as he backs away and takes out the lasagna from the oven. I was away from the oven too, Jake puts the lasagna on top of the heated oven.

"Okay we'll have to wait a bit so it'll cool." He said to me as he pulled out two plates, fork, and napkins and sets it on the table that's in front of the TV.

"You would be a great husband you know that." I complimented him as he smiles as walks toward me.

He wrapped his arms around my waist under my arms as I wrap my arms around his neck. "How about I become your husband?" He said to me as I blush a bit.

"Is that a proposal that I hear?" I questioned back to him as he leans down and kiss me on the forehead.

"Not yet but be prepared it's coming soon." He smirked as I smiled, I can imagine him in the kitchen cooking while I take care of the kids. That's what I want in the future with him.

"I'm ready when you ask." I told him as he lets go of me and carries the lasagna to the wooden table. He cuts the square slices of lasagna evenly and then he serve the lasagna to me than to him. "Thanks. " I told him as I took a bite of the lasagna.

The lasagna was awesome but it was steaming hot and it burned my tongue. I opened my mouth and fanned my mouth,"H-t!" I repeated.

The burn finally stopped as Jake laughter at me but pretended that he didn't laugh at all. He blew on a piece of lasagna and offered me a piece as u ate the piece. "Yum!" I said to him as he smiled proudly to me.

I did the same to him as he accepted my offer and ate it, then he leaned over to me and kissed me on the cheek. He laughed at me as I gave him a questioned look.

"What?" I asked now I was curious.

"You have -haha- some tomato on your face." He explained to me as I ate another piece of lasagna and kissed him back on the cheek. He was the same as me and also had some tomato sauce on his cheek.

The sun soon went down but then it flew back into the sky, it was the next day. I woke up next to Jake, I loved it when I stayed with him because it felt warm and nice. I looked up and I could see Jake's sleeping face.

I started to draw little circles on his chest, if this was my morning everyday it would be nice. His eyes twitched a little as he opened them and then he looked at me. "Morning." I told him as he stared at me and touched my hair a bit.

"Morning sweetheart." That just made my day when he said that, I smiled at him. Suddenly he pulled me closer him as hugged me tightly. I was facing his chest as he placed his chin on top of my head.

I didn't bother to even push him away so i put my hand on to his chest and struggled a bit. "Annalise you know that I love you right?" Jake whispered to me in my ear that is now burning red.

"Yes and I love you too." He than started to blush too as he looked down at me. I sat up and started to walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

Suddenly he pulled me to him, I turned to look at him I sat on his lap but I was facing him. He than gave me a steamy kiss ," I'll always love you." He said as I smile and kiss him back.

I stood up from his lap as I took his hand.

"Come on I'll make breakfast." I told him pulled him away from the bed but he refuse to stand up. I gave him a pouting face as he stood up. I started to brush my teeth as he did the same.

I looked at him for a few seconds, than he finished brushing his teeth and rises his mouth. I held out my hand as I gave him anther pouting face. "Please!" I begged.

He took the shaving cream and sprayed some on my hand. "You better not kill me." He told me as I looked at him.

"I won't." I promised.

I spread the shaving cream across his chin and face, I made him look like Santa Clause! I laughed at my piece of art as he started to act like Santa Clause.

"Ho ho ho!" He said in a deep voice as I started to shave the stubs on his chin. I finally finished and started to brag at him about how I'm awesome at shaving.

We soon went out to the mall to look at something and we held hands when we got to the mall. A hand reached to my other arm that wasn't holding Jake's hand and pulled me. It surprised me for a second,"Oh my gosh, why are you here?!?!" I asked them.

I was speechless...
