"Are you ready?" Charles asked me as I shake my head up and down in reply. I got out of the the car with my white ombré dress that turned cream when it reached to the bottom of the dress.

Then I had a pair of cute light tan high heel stilettos under my dress. Charles helped me out of the car as our arms interlock together.

I must say that Charles looked handsome in a black and whit suit with a black tie. Damn Lily your a lucky women to have my brother as her boyfriend.

He walked me into the party room as he handed a man our tickets. He let us in and opened the doors for us, the room was filled with famous people and powerful people. I wasn't surprised at all, I mean he is the son of a rich company owner.

I walked over to the food table and grabbed two martinis, I took one for myself and the other one for Charles. He took it gratefully as he took a sip out of the glass cup as I did the same thing.

"Today we are all here to honor the engagement between Edwin Jackson and Cindy Smith." The announcer said through the microphone and everyone clapped. Some raised their glass cup and laughed a bit.

Me and Charles just stood there trying to find my dad or David Jackson somewhere in the crowd. I took a glance at Edwin on stage who was holding Cindy's hand, she had a diamond ring on her hand.

They looked perfect together, I'm just the daughter of a gang leader while he's the son of a rich entrepreneur. They don't fit together, we're puzzles that just don't fit.

Then Charles jabbed me in the ribs with his elbow as he leaned over to my ear and started to whispered to me. "Red tie, 3 o'clock." He whispered to me as I looked at the man, he was dad alright.

He had his gang with him too, I still don't know how me got the tickets to get into the party. "Got it, tell me when you see David okay?" I said to Charles as he nodded in agreement.

I needed to know where David was fast before he gets killed, even though I hated him I can't let my dad be in jail. I spotted Edwin near the side of the party looking out the window, I quickly walked over there to ask him where David was.

He was the only one left that would know where David was, I mean I can't see Miss Parson anywhere. "Hey Edwin do you know where David is?" I asked him as he almost turned around to face me.

But I quickly touched his shoulder,"Don't turn around or people will see us." I commanded him. "Who are you?" He asked curiously to me.

"I guessed I'm never even important to you anyway." I said to him as I caught myself off-guard for a second. "Just tell me where David is before it's too late!" I yelled at Edwin.

"I think he's in the back office it's down the hallway to the right." Edwin explained as I walk away from him casually. I walked into the hallway but then I lifted my dress to let me walk faster.

I ran down the hallway then I turned right and there was a black painted door. I'm guessing that was the room, I heard steps behind me, I have to go quicker and faster. I ran to the door and unlocked it, it was just Miss Parson and David in the room.

I grabbed David's arm and pulled him to the door," I can't explain now but you have to go before you get killed." I said to David but he just yanked his arm from my hand.
