Chapter 28

Charles bought me a plane ticket that day, I only had a week left before I leave New York City. I'll have to find another place where it's far from here, I'm going to Houston, TX.

I got to school the next day and when I got there I saw a shadow that was familiar to me. The shadow moved and out appeared him, my dad and two of his gang member.

There was a crowd surrounding them, and they were the center of attention.

"Why are you here?" I asked him as he stare at me. "I didn't see you for the past 3 days of course I was worried honey." He said with a fake smile as his two body guards look around us.

Just stop... Stop acting we both know your just acting." I told him and he was getting angrier by the moment.

He slapped me across the the face and the pain sinked into my skin as it burned. My placed my hand onto the burn, what did I expect from him.

I want him to change himself but it was taking too long, his heart was already a black hole. Will it ever turn back into a red one? If mom was here it would've been better but she's gone.

He walked away from me through the crowd as the crowd slowly went away, but one person stood there, Edwin. My cheek hurt and the last person I wanted to see was him.

I quickly walked away in a steady pace. I got a glance of Cindy by the edge of my eye, I didn't say anything as tears form in my eye.

I ran to the nurse's office and sat in one of the beds, I tried to calm myself down but instead I just made it worse.

I covered my eyes with my arm as I laid down onto the bed, the emotion over the year build up. I just the emotions just overflowed and they rushed out.

Then I fell asleep, sleeping after crying a lot was the best since it helped me calm down and makes me less stressed out.

Edwin's Point of View

I looked around the school trying to find Alex just there was only one other place left to look into. It was the nurse's office.

I walked inside remembering how I first met her, I slid my hand across the table that had the first-aid kit. I remembered how she helped me with the burn on my hand because of the tea.

I chuckle a bit as I heard some bed sheets shifting and I opened the curtains. She was on the bed but she was sleeping, she wasn't stressed and at least she wasn't sad.

Alex was beautiful to me, I sat down on the bed gently making sure that she doesn't wake up. She was facing the window which was the opposite of my direction.

I leaned over her while facing her sleepy face, I kissed her forehead. I wished I could do this to her everyday.

I loved her.

Alex's Point of View

I could hear his foot steps as he walked out of the room, I snuggled my face into the bed sheets. I blushed really hard, my face burned because I was awake when he kissed my forehead.

Oh gosh, my heart might break because of how much my heart rate increase.

"Honey I think you don't want to miss lunch." She told me as she shook my body from side to side.

I opened my eyes and the light on the ceiling burned my eyes. I stood up and headed down to the cafeteria where everyone was in line. I got into the third line where they had a ham and cheese sandwich.

Next to me was a girl with blonde hair and I could recognize her, it was Cindy.

"You broke our deal." She said to me under her breath. "What are you talking about?" I asked her as I took a tray of ham and cheese sandwich.

"I know he went to visit you at the nurse's office." She smirked but i could see behind her smirk was sadness and she feel unworthy.

"I'm going to tell him." She told me as she cut in front of me and payed for her food.

"NO, please." I yelled at her but she just ignored me and kept walking. I would've chased after her but I had to pay for my food first before the lunch lady would freakin' yell at me.

I got out into the lunchroom and immediately placed my tray down and ran into the hallway. There was Edwin talking to Cindy, I stopped in between the two of them.

"Wait Cindy, let me tell him." She was standing there with her arms crossed.

Edwin was on the opposite side confused as usual, he never knows what's going on like ever. "What's happening?" He asked with his eyebrows raised.

I took his hand and held them," Edwin, I'm going to be honest with you with something okay?"

"Okay?" He said to me and now he was mentally prepared for my secret to be reveled.

I'm scared of what he'll think of me afterwards.

"Edwin I'm ..."
