Chapter 4

I walked out of the hotel room bathroom, running my brush through my hair as Demi seemed really interested in her phone.

What could she possibly be doing on her phone already?

“What are you doing?” I asked, walking over to sit next to her as she shoved her phone in her pocket, shaking her head.

“Oh, nothing...” She said, smiling at me as I raised my eyebrow. “Its nothing. I was just letting your parents know that we got here okay.. It's not that big a deal..” She said, pushing herself up off the bed as I kept my brow raised nodding slowly.

“Okay then..” I pushed myself up, making sure I looked okay, placing my hand on my hip as I did a pose. “Are we ready to go site seeing?” I asked over my shoulder as Demi checked her makeup in the mirror in the bathroom.

“I’m ready if you are, Gomez..” She said, walking out to grab her light jacket as I nodded. I walked over, grabbing my jean jacket as I made my way over to grab my room key, phone and wallet.

Never know who were going to see in California.

WIth that, we made our way out of the hotel room and outside of the hotel.

The sun was stunning as I smiled, the feeling of the sun against my skin. Since were both not from Cali and were from one of the wettest states in the United States, the sun feels absolutely amazing.

“Are you just going to stand there and sunbath, or are you going to come walking with me?”

I shook myself out of my daze as I looked over at her, giving her a look.

“You know how I love the sun, it's not my fault that I simply adore the sun and I don't get enough of it..” I said, sticking my tongue out at her as she walked over, linking her arm with mine.

She pulled me away from the hotel, simply walking down the street with her as I looked around. I smiled at some of the things I saw until we got to the boardwalk.

“So, I think we should just look around and see what is in this area..” I said, looking over at her as she nodded.

“But I want to go to the beach first..” She whined as I sighed, shaking my head.

“Whatever you want..” I said, rolling my eyes playfully as I pulled my arm away from her to take off my shoes. I held my shoes in my hand as I reached over to take her arm in mine again as we walked along the beach.

“You know, if I didn't know better, I would think that you really did not like the sun, D..” I said, looking over at her as she had a pair of shorts on that went to her knees and a tank top under the sweater that went that didn't actually look like something she would wear.

“You know what, I wouldn't be the one to talk..” She said, looking over me as I looked down at my reasonably lengthed shorts, my tank top that showed probably a little more than it should and my denim jacket that covered a portion of what wasn't covered.

“Well, at least I'm not as self-conscious..” I said, looking up only to not see her next to me as my brow furrowed. “D? Demi?” I said, looking around, only to see her in the sand, a hand on her head as a volleyball sat next to the both of us. “Oh, my god! Demi!” I said, walking over to her as I knelt down next to her. “Are you okay?” I asked, reaching over to help her up as she dusted off her butt.

“Im so sorry... I promise, I didn't see you there....”

I looked up to see a guy that was unreasonably tan, shirtless with a pair of swim trunks on. He had brown eyes and had darker brown hair as he had an apologetic look on his face.

I shot him a look, linking my arm with Demi’s as I shook my head. “Fuck you. You can't say you didn't see her here.” I sneered as I turned to look at Demi. “Are you okay, D?” I asked, placing my hands on either side of her cheeks as she nodded.

“Im okay, Selena. Don't worry..” She said, shrugging my hands off as she turned to look at the guy. “Im sorry. My friend here gets a little testy when it comes to me. My names Demi..” She said as I watched her hold her hand out to him.

He smiled, shaking her hand as he showed a little bit of teeth in his smile.

“joe.”
