One Summer with 1D

Chapter 2

I woke up to the ringing of my alarm at 5:00 am. Finally, the day I've been waiting for for almost an entire year! I jumped out of bed and disabled my alarm clock. I did a little dance before I got ready.

-Flash Forward About 40 Minutes-

I carefully walked downstairs with my suitcase in my hands. I caught a whiff of gravy and almost fell down the stairs it smelled so good. When I got to the bottom I spotted my mom at the stove stirring something.

"Mom! Do you know how much I love you?" My mom made me my favorite thing for breakfast; biscuits and grazy, yum.

"My guess is probably more than words can describe?"

"Ding ding ding we have a winner!" I ran over to my and hugged her. After we were done with the hug, she pulled out a plate from behind her back.

"You better get to eating, you only have about 15 minutes." I nodded and filled my plate in record time and poured me some milk. Breakfast was so good. When I was done eating, it was 5:55 am. 5 minutes until I leave.

"Mom, I'm gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you more. Did you get everything? What about your phone and charger?"

"Yea I got it all. I even created a list to remember everything." My mom's eyes started to water.

"Mom, please don't cry! You can call me anytime and I do mean anytime!" By this point, tears started rolling down my mom's face. I walked over to her and gently wiped them away.

"Trust me, I'm more worried for you than I am for me. Is dad gonna come home this summer?"

"Yeah, his plane flies in in a week. He's gonna stay for most of the summer but will be gone again before you return."

"Please tell him I love him lots and take you out to dinner every night." We both laughed and my mom stopped crying. I heard a bus horn and I quickly kissed my mom on the cheek and hugged her and thanked her for breakfast. I grabbed my suitcase and rolled it outside.

I ran inside the bus and was immediately greeted by my 3 BFFs. I sat down beside Kate since there was no room in Maggie and Sailor's seat.

"Are you excited or what," Kate asked me very excitedly.

"Oh you can't believe how excited! It's my first camp and I almost can't contain my happiness," I kinda squealed.

"Um Cedes, it's all of our's first summer camp. Unless you count VBS which all of us have been to," Sailor said to me with a big smile.

"Hey Sailor, did you do something different to your hair," I asked. She immediately blushed.

"Yeah, I finally got highlights!"

"It looks like really good," I told her truthfully. I looked to Maggie who was messing with her hair giving us a hint.

"Maggie, your hair looks very pretty, too. And silky. What did you do to it," I said while twirling a piece in my fingers.

"I used this new conditioner that tames Ginger hair and it worked awesomely!" Yes, she had crazy, frizzy Ginger hair before this magic she performed on it. It looked really pretty.

"Hey, who else is completely exhausted," I asked my girls. They all raised their hands.

"I was up all night making sure I had everything, I barely got an hour or two of sleep," Kate admitted. She probably packed a 1D tracker or something. She is like obsessed with 1D. I'm not obssessed with them, but I my heart rate would speed up if I met Harry Styles.

We all agreed on taking a nap the rest of the way to Georgia, which is where the camp is. We all lived in Kentucky so it's a good amount of time away from home.
