"Shh, Cedes, love, it's us." Harry whispered in my ear. I stopped struggling and evened out my breathing. Harry released his hand slowly and I stayed quiet. I turned around to face Louis and Harry then suddenly pulled both of them into a hug. After a while, I released them.

"Cedes, we need to get out of here." Louis whispered.

"We know about Katelyn and how dangerous she is. We need to go fast." Harry added.

"How? No one knows where we are, there's no cellphone service out here, and it's pitch black." I questioned both of them.

"We found a place out here in the woods, it's not that far. It's abondoned but it has beds and the power still works thanks to a generator." Louis assured me.

"But we need to go now. Katelyn could still be looking for you." Harry told me. I nodded my head in understandment rapidly and took Louis and Harry's hands in mine. They guided us to a log cabin with a gas lamp lit on the porch.

The cabin wasn't big but it seemed cozy. Harry and Louis led me inside then shut the door silently. Harry immediately closed all of the curtains so no one could tell of any human activity inside of the cabin. Louis led me into the kitchen and handed me a jug full of water. I looked at it skeptically.

"Don't worry, it's clean." He reassured me. I unscrewed the lid and started chugging. I didn't realize how thirsty and famished I was until that first drop of water hit my tongue.

"I figured you were parched." Louis said with amusement in his voice. He crossed his arms and leaned his back against the counter.

"I'm pretty sure I've ran at least 5 miles already today. I really needed some water. Thank you." I told him.

"No need to thank me. I was just looking for some Doritos in the pantry when all I came across was canned foods and jugs full of water."

"That's my Louis." I said with a smile.

"Your Louis..." He said to himself. I walked over to him and tipped his chin up to where he was looking at me in the eyes.

"Is something wrong, Lou?" I asked him.

"I'm doing peachy. Nothing's wrong." He told me with a grin. But I could tell that under that grin was something else: sorrow.

"Lou, I can tell something's wrong."

"Okay fine, I'll tell you. Not here, though." Louis took my hand and guided me into a bedroom with a queen bed in it then shut the door behind him.

"Have a seat." He told me. I did as I was told and took a seat on the bed. He took a seat right next to me. He hung his head and fumbled with his hands.

"Louis, you know you can tell me anything."

"I know, it's just...I'm scared to tell."

"Don't be scared, Lou."

"I'm scared I'll lose you if I tell you."

"I'm not going anywhere." I put my head on his shoulder gently and started rubbing circles on his back.

"Cedes...I...I-" He was cut off by the shaddering of class and an unwanted intruder coming in through the window. We jumped up off of the bed and Louis stood in front of me protectively. I glanced around his body and saw Katelyn standing by the now broken bedroom window with a pistol in her hand.

"Oh, there you are." She said with a wicked smile.
