-2 Hours Later-
It was dark and the stars were out when I let out a long yawn.
"Someone sounds tired. It's a sign you know," Kate said to me.
"A sign? For what," I asked.
"That it's time for us to head back to our cabin." The boys all let out a groan.
"No don't go," Louis cried.
"We have to! I'm very sleepy. Besides, Kate and I have a surprise for all of you! But you have to promise me one thing." The boys all looked at me with wide eyes wanting me to continue.
"Promise me that you won't hit anyone else in the head with a football," I said with a smile. The boys all shook their heads in agreement and I got up from the sandy bank.
I wiped off the sand and the rest of the group got up as well. Kate and I took turns hugging the boys and as I started to walk away I felt someone grab my arm gently. I turned to see that it was Harry. He pulled me in for another hug. Before he pulled away, he started whispering into my ear.
"Don't forget about our date tomorrow."
"How could I?" I smiled up at him and kissed his cheek and turned to catch up with Kate. As I jogged to Kate, I looked back and saw a smile on Harry's face in the moonlight. I smiled back and continued walking with Kate in the opposite direction.
-Back at the Cabin-
"You did what with who," Sailor exclaimed. Geesh, that girl needs to chill-out.
"Like I just said a minute ago, we played football with One Direction. Did I studder," I joked.
"Was Zayn there," She asked while blushing pink.
"Yes every one of the boys were there," Kate answered before I could.
"One question, Kate. How long did you know that they were coming to this camp," Maggie asked.
"Um, only about 2 months," Kate answered making her answer sounding more like a question. I didn't even know this.
"So, what you're saying is you only wanted to come to this camp was to see One Directon," I asked with tears threatening to come out of my eyes.
"Girls, no. Well, not exactly," Kate studdered. Maggie, Sailor, and my jaws dropped at this.
"Girls, I really wanted to meet the boys, but I also wanted us to all come to summer camp together."
"It's funny how you mention the boys in that sentence first," I said with clenched fists.
"I knew something didn't feel right about this idea. I mean, Kate hates the outdoors and we all know that," Maggie confronted. She's right, Kate does hate the outdoors.
"I'm really sorry girls," Kate studdered.
"Sorry about what...," Sailor started.
"....that we caught your little act or that you wanted to hang out with the boys rather than us," I finished. Kate tried to say something but only made studder noises. Both of our confronts were true.
I was so enraged, I ran outside the cabin into the darkness and towards the lake. When I got to the bank, I sat on the sand and brought my knees to my chest and weeped buckets of tears. I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and dialed my mom's number.
I brought the phone to my ear and listened to the buzzing noise signaling it was dialing my mom's phone. All of a sudden, a beeping started signaling I had no service. Great.
I put my phone back into my pocket and started crying again. I heard footprints in the sand and I looked up and saw Louis. I quickly wiped away my tears; I hated others to see me cry.
"Hi, Louis," I half-whimpered.
"What's wrong, love?"
"Nothing, why would you ask?"
"Because I heard you crying." I was embarrassed.
"Why are you out here in the middle of the night," I asked changing the subject.
"I couldn't sleep and I love how pretty the water looks at night with the moon shining on it. How about you?"
"I needed to run away from my problems I guess. I know nobody's supposed to do that, but I felt like I needed to." Louis sat down in the sand beside me.
"You look cold, here wear my sweatshirt." He took off his sweatshirt and handed it to me. I didn't realize how cold I was until he said that. I took his sweatshirt with a "thanks" and put it on. It was warm from his body heat.
We sat in silence for a while in silence just enjoying each other's company.
"Well, I think I'm gonna head back to my cabin," He stated with a yawn. I let out a groan and he put a slight thinking face on.
"You really don't wanna go back to your cabin, do you," He was exactly right. I shook my head no and he stood up and extended a hand out to help me up.
"I guess you could stay the night in our cabin instead," He said with a smile. I smiled back and grabbed his hand and got up. He extended his arms out for a hug and I took it. When we pulled away from the hug, he lead the way to the cabin.
When we got to the door, Louis slowly opened it and we tip-toed into the dark cabin. I could see three beds with red comforters on them. Two of the beds were each occupied with 2 boys. One of the beds was empty.
"I'll let you sleep on the bed and I'll sleep on the couch tonight," Louis whispered. I nodded my head in agreement but I felt bad. I didn't feel like I should get the bed and Louis have to sleep on the couch, but I didn't want to wake the others with an argument.
I tip-toed to the bed and crawled in. I pulled the comforter up to my neck and sunk my head into a pillow. I sat up a little bit to see Louis on the couch with a red blanket covering him.
"Goodnight, Louis," I whispered.
"Goodnight, Cedes. Now go to sleep!"
"Okay," I giggled. I did as I was told and quickly fell into sleep.
