One Summer with 1D

Chapter 14

"Kate, I don't remember you saying we were having company." Sailor said in a fake-polite voice with a forced smile. Sailor obviously wasn't expecting anyone to come over. She was wearing only a pink yoga racerback sports bra and matching yoga pants with her hair pulled back into a messy pony tail.

"I didn't say so, but they're welcome here anytime." Kate said with a smile on her face. I don't know if it was because Sailor's reaction was funny or she was excited to see her idols standing in our cabin.

"I'll be right back." Sailor said as she grabbed some clothes from her suitcase and went to the bathroom to change, I'm guessing she is, anyway.

"Hello, everyone." Maggie said warmly as she got up from the couch. She's always been a friendly, people person. She's usually the one who breaks the ice with new people.

"Hello." The boys and I chorused. Sailor walked out of the bathroom dressed in a pink Hollister t-shirt and bootcut jeans. Her hair was still in a pony tail, but had no fly-a-ways.

"Sorry I wasn't very welcoming earlier. I just, wasn't expecting anyone to come over today." Sailor apologized.

"No worries, love. We understand." Zayn told her kindly. I think I saw her blush a little bit. Aww I always thought that Sailor and Zayn would make a cute couple.

"Surprise!!!" I gleefully shouted. Hey, I felt like shouting. Afterall, I did keep them waiting for their surprise for like, ever.

"It's a lovely surprise. I think it was a surprise for them, as well." Liam responded.

"You've got that right." Maggie told him.

"Oh sorry Sailor and Maggie, you guys probably need introductions since you aren't that much of directioners. Anyway, meet Liam, Louis, Zayn, Niall, and Harry." Each of the boys waved when their name was called.

The two girls waved at them with blank faces. They probably just now realized that THE boys from THE world's hottest band. Hehe, my girls are getting starstruck. I should probably help start some conversations.

"Hey Zayn, isn't it so coincidental that you and Sailor have blonde AND brunette hair? Why don't you guys discuss why you decided to become part-blondes." I guided Zayn (well, more like pushed) over to Sailor and they each greeted each other. One couple down, two to go.

"Hey Maggie, so I've been thinking, you and Liam are so much alike! I mean you guys are both so responsible and smart, you should get to know each other better!" I pushed Liam towards Maggie just like I pushed Zayn towards Sailor. Look at me, being Ms. Matchmaker! Two couples down, one to go.

"Hey Kate, Niall's looking a little hungry. Why don't you guys stop by the Snack Shack and get some candy and/or soda?" This time I pushed Kate towards Niall. They walked out of the cabin making small talk soon after.

"My work here is done." I said to myself and rubbed my hands against each other like I was wiping off dust.

"So guys, what do you want to do now?" I asked Harry and Louis.

"Let's go play some actuall football." Louis suggested with a smile.

"You mean like soccer? I'm for it." I replied. Harry nodded his head in agreement while wearing a smile. Those two boys have no idea what they just got themselves into.
