One Summer with 1D

Chapter 3

When I woke up, it was early afternoon and we were in a parking lot. I saw a sign that read, "Camp Summer". We're here, we're really here! I shook the girls awake and they all moaned.

"Girls! We're here!" After I said that all of their heads shot up and their eyes searched outside the windows. As if on cue, we all squealed at the same time.

The bus came to a stop and we all grabbed our suitcases from under our seats and hurried out before the other girls we had no idea were.

"Wow," We all marveled in unison.

"Look at the cabins!" (Maggie)

"Look at the lake!" (Sailor)

"Look at all of these boys!" (Kate)

"I love you guys," Is all I could say to their responses.

"Attention campers! Please make your way to the stage," A male's voice announced. It sounded like it was coming from a microphone or a megaphone. We went along with the moving crowd to an outdoor stage.

"Welcome campers to Camp Summer, THE summer camp for your guys' generation! Consider yourself lucky! Many kids your age sent in applications and got denied!" Wow that sounded kinda harsh out loud.

"In case you were wondering, I am Head Counseler Joe and I attented this camp when I was your age! I'm now 25 and too old but I still have fun here! There are no rules here and you can do whatever you like as long as it's fun! I have my trust in you to not do anything too crazy! I hope you have a great time here at Camp Summer!" He walked offstage and everyone in the crowd parted ways.

"Okay girls, shall we get settled into our cabin," I asked. My friends all shook their heads yes. We walked over to the cabin office and found out our cabin color; light blue. Apparently our cabin colors were also teams. We were all in the same group luckily.

We walked to our cabin and it was very cool. It was an actual log cabin! We walked in to a beautifully decorated room, it reminded me of mine. It had the same color scheme; light blue and white.

The room had a beautiful crystal chandelier and furry white rugs everywhere. There was 2 king sized beds and 4 white vanities. I'm guessing each cabin has 4 roommates. The walls were decorated with canvases showing white daisies on a light blue background.

"Wow," We all said in unison. It was gorgeous.

"I call sleeping with Kate," I announced.

"Works for me," Kate replied.

"But Cedes, I wanted to sleep with you," Sailor moaned.

"Um no offense, Sailo, but you snore really loud," I told her, "and since when does everyone wanna sleep with me?" We all burst out laughing. I walked over to my suitcase and slid it under the bed. I noticed a mini refrigerator inbetween the two beds. I opened it and was in soda heaven.

"Guys, I don't think I'm gonna be sleeping all summer," I said out loud.

"Eww Cedes, you can't already be thinking about...." Kate started.

"Not like that, Kate. I meant about all of this soda in this mini fridge."

"Soda," Maggie emmidiately shot back. That girl loves her soda.

"Did I say soda? I meant broccoli," I fibbed.

"Cedes, I'm not stupid," Maggie replied. I felt my pocket vibrate and I saw it was a text from Kate.

I looked over at Kate and nodded. We walked out of the cabin without a word and Kate pulled me behind a tree.

"They're here."

"Kate, who's here?"

"The boys."

"Well yeah of course boys are here."

"No I mean One Direction." I felt my eyes get wide and my face go white.

"How do you know?"

"I message them on Kik."

"You talk to strangers on Kik? I already told you to stop doing that."

"No it's their official accounts. They want to meet us in person."

"Us? How would they know about me?"

"I sent them a picture of you..."

"YOU WHAT!"

"Shhh...I told them you were my bestest friend ever and they wanted to know what you look like."

"So you sent them a picture of me?"

"Yes. Anyway, they're waiting to meet us in person at the lake." I let out a sigh.

"You know you love me, Cedes."

"Shut up." We walked towards the lake and saw 5 boys running around the bank chasing each other and throwing a football back and forth. We walked a little closer and I stopped in my traps.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm really nervous."

"About what?"

"I'm afraid they won't like me."

"What's there not to like about you? Trust me, they'll love you." And with that, my feet started moving again until something hit my head and I collapsed.
