I followed Rei, or I should say MASTER Rei, down the streets. I needed about twenty more pairs of eyes to see everything, I'm surprised I didn't take my own head off with how much I spun around. My inner fanboy was going nUTS!
"Okay that's enough! Your gonna get an overload kid!"
Master Rei grabbed the back of my tan shirt and pulled me back to his side.
I smiled shyly, "Sorry, but I wanted to look at everything."
He smiled and raised an eyebrow, "You mean touch everything?"
He took a large fruit I grabbed out of my hand and placed it back in the crate I took it from.
I smirked, "Sorry new place, new rules I know."
He chuckled and flicked my ponytail, "Exactly!"
I grabbed my hair and smiled looking up at him, he was probably a good foot taller than me. He was extremely well built to, it wasn't fair. I felt small compared to him, and I had an average muscle size.
He slapped my shoulder, "Now come on!"
He suddenly jumped up onto a wall and climbed up to the roof.
I looked up at him from where he stood, "Par-core?"
He crossed his arms and nodded, "Yep, you gotta learn to if your gonna be my padawan."
I snickered, "It's harder than it looks man! I've done a little before but not a lot!"
He spread his arms, "Better learn now then never!"
I sighed and looked at the wall, studying it in a way that I could maneuver up it.
I stepped back a couple steps and then sprinted up the side and started climbing up the wall, carefully at first.
"Oh come on! You don't have time to be careful! There's a whole army or storm troopers behind you!"
I chuckled and shook my head, but nevertheless I started climbing faster and jumping from handhold to handhold. I reached the top quickly and pushed myself up next to him.
I whistled as I caught my breath, "I haven't done that I awhile."
Rei smiled, "Well you'll be doing it more, now let's get goin!"
He started running at full sprint across the tops of the building, and I followed close behind him careful not to fall or trip or anything that could potentially kill me. He lead me through the city, which I assumed was the Republic because there were skyscrapers everywhere and there was a big flag with the Republic symbol on it, until we stopped in front of a rather large building.
He smiled, "Welcome to the Jedi temple!"
I looked up and smiled at Rei, "It's just as I excepted."
He furrowed his brow with a small smile on his face, "What?"
I smirked, "Amazing."
I stepped off the roof and plummeted down towards the cement. Just before I smacked against the ground I took hold of a window sill about eight feet off the ground. The sudden stop made my right shoulder hurt from the amount of force it took to stop myself, but I've had it happen so many times before that it didn't even bother me that much. All I did was drop to the ground and popped my shoulder back into place.
Rei whistled at me, "And you said you've never done par-core."
He slapped me on the back as he walked up the steps to the Jedi temple/headquarters.
I ran after him, "I said I haven't done MUCH of it! I'm more of a skater anyway!"
He laughed, "Sure you are."
I held my hands out, "You don't know anything about what I did before I came here!"
I pointed at him, "So you have no right to say that!"
He laughed again and held his hands up in surrender, "Okay, okay, fine."
He lead me through thousands of corridors, stairways, and rooms until we came to one at the very top.
I sighed and placed my hands behind my head, "Jeez, how many damn stairs did we walk up?"
Rei chuckled, "A lot less than you think, now shush and don't talk unless spoken too."
I frowned then shrugged it off as he pushed a pair of metal doors open. I almost gasped as I walked in, I literally had to bite my tongue to keep myself from fanboying. That sounds so weird to say that, fanboying, like I'm so used to saying fangirling. Anyway! The room was fucking huge! I could've fit at least 3 identical copies of my apartment in there, one on top of the other. There were also a lot of chairs/thrones that circled the room, and the back wall was nothing but a big ass window that over looked the city. It was fucking cool as fuck.
Rei stopped in the middle of the room and I kinda hid behind him nervously, which is weird cause normally I'm not shy as all you lovely readers know. I looked around and saw all the familiar faces that I've known sense I was a little kid watching all the movies and shit a thousand times a day. And when I saw Yoda I nearly squealed in excitement and I had to bite my tongue harder, I'm surprised I haven't taken my tongue off yet.
I heard Rei almost chuckle cause I grabbed the back of his long coat, why the fuck am I so nervous? I don't know probs because I'm about ready to meet my mother fucking idols.
Mace looked at me curiously with a small smile on his face then he turned to Rei.
"And what have we here Rei?"
Rei chuckled, "I may have found my first padawan."
Mace's eyebrows went up in the air faster than lightning, "Well this is a surprise!"
He smiled showing white teeth and nodded, "Yep!"
"A big surprise indeed."
I turned and saw Luke Skywalker walk up to us, and I died, jk. He was older now he wasn't young anymore sadly, but it was still cool to meet Luke Skywalker.
Luke smiled at Rei and slapped him on the shoulder, "Pleasure to see you again Rei!"
Rei smiled, "Pleasure to see you as well Luke!"
Rei smiled and smacked his hand on Luke's shoulder in return.
I poked my head under his arm and looked up at Luke in amazement, "Your Luke Skywalker!"
Luke smiled brightly at me, "Yes as a matter of fact I am."
I smiled brightly and shuffled my feet nervously. To which he chuckled, "You a fan of mine?"
I nodded and bit my lip, "That a bad thing?"
He laughed, "Not at all! I appreciate the young folks looking up to me!"
I smiled brightly, "I'm Nyctalgia by the way."
I held my hand out and he shook it and smiled, "You already know my name."
I chuckled then looked over his shoulder, "No way! Han Solo, Leia, And Chewbacca!"
Luke smiled and place a hand on my shoulder, "Want me to go introduce you?"
I smiled, "Please?"
He nodded and laughed as he pulled me to the side of the room. Rei shook his head and laughed but he stayed where he was and watched me.
Everyone smiled at me and welcomed me with open arms. I smiled up a Chewy and he growled happily down at me which made me laugh, to which he lay me on the head and hugged me.
Han leaned over to me and pointed at Chewy, "Chewy likes you already."
I smiled, "Well I'm really good with animals and other creatures like him."
Chewy growled and I held my hands up, "Okay other BEINGS like him."
Chewy pat me on the head again and I smiled. As Luke introduced me to the group I felt someone watching me and I turned and saw Yoda walk right up to me. I kinda freaked out a moment there and stepped back a step.
Yoda smiled, "Hurt you I will not."
I smiled and stepped back to where I was before, "My apologizes master Yoda."
I bowed my head and he laughed, "Apologize you need not! Let us test you now we shall."
I nodded and he walked me back other to the center of the room. Rei smiled and pat me on the back and walked over to Luke and the others.
I frowned slightly, "How will I be tested?"
Yoda looked up at me and pointed at his head, "Mentally."
I frowned as he sat back down in his seat. I covered my eyes suddenly because the circle I was stood on in the middle of the room suddenly glowed brightly. I looked around confused then a large tube closed around me.
My eyes widened and I started to shake. Spoiler alert, I have extremely bad claustrophobia.
I ran my hands through my hair and everyone looked at me confused. Then I screamed and started banging on the glass. Rei suddenly realized and ran up to the tube and placed both hands on the glass and looked in at me with a worried look. I sank to the floor and held my head in my hands as I shook in fear. Rei knelt down beside me and smacked the glass, I couldn't hear anything that he said but he motioned for me to take deep breaths. When I didn't do it at first he smacked the glass again and I jumped. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. When I opened them back up Rei smiled at me then motioned again for what was wrong but spreading his arms out.
I was somewhat calmed down now so I breathed on the glass and wrote claustrophobia on the glass. He nodded his head and taped the glass telling me to stand up. And as soon as I did with a small shake of my head I closed my eyes and looked at master Yoda. He nodded and I looked up and saw about a dozen cords with needles on them float down to me, I looked at them with a frown on my face. Then one after another they all injected themselves into my skin. I ground my teeth and shook as a chill ran down my spine. Then I started to get dizzy. I stumbled and my hand smacked up against the glass to keep myself from falling over. This some Divergent shit right here. And they ain't even Disney! I looked at Rei then closed my eyes and everything was dark. I felt like I was weightless, on account of because I was lifted into the air by the stupid devil cords. I was blinded and after it cleared I looked around and I found myself back home. Not apartment home, home where we lived with our mom and dad before on the edge of the woods. I was standing by the dead stump that we used to chop firewood the ax still embedded into the wooden flesh. I looked around the blue birds were still singing, the deer still came up to the forest edge and waged their white tails at me, and the grass was still green as ever.
"Nyctalgia!"
My eyes widened and I froze. Turning my head slowly I saw my mom standing on the porch with the same smile on her face, the same silver hair as mine, same crystal blue eyes, and same pale skin.
She smiled and waved at me, "What are you waiting for dear? Dinners gonna get cold!"
She giggled and turned back towards the front door. I didn't move, she turned her head and smiled again.
"Come on! You know I don't bite silly!"
I gulped and nodded my head, "Yeah."
She giggled again and waved me over, "Then come on my baby boy! I made your favorite!"
I looked at the ground, 'What the hell is this?'
I followed after a moment of standing there and walked into our old dinning room. I almost cried from all the memories we had in this house, and now it's gone.
Mom walked out with a plate and I nearly screamed. I knocked one of the chairs over and covered my mouth so as not to puke.
Mom smiled, "What? It's just dinner!"
On the plate was my fathers and my brothers head.
"Come on now, eat up!"
